This was a fantastic idea — «Diary of an Amsterdammer» in English. As someone new to the city, I was intrigued to see other peoples’ experiences and to see Amsterdam through other Expats as well as Born and Breed Amsterdammers’ eyes. A great selection of beautiful photos displayed with stories of the Unilocalers that created them. These Unilocalers had been some of the 30 asked to keep a diary for the event. I’m keen to see the full individual stories after seeing the highlights and hearing Flip’s favourite bits. Filter is a lovely, big, coffee space great for large gatherings — like an art expo — brunches or a group or working coffee. We were spoilt with fantastic food by Pinch(see my 5* review as it’s a bit long — we loved it!!) and the lovely cookies and luscious, moist banana bread by Filter. Filter’s lovely hostess also provided very nice lemonade with elderflower(one alcoholic and one non-alcoholic) which was well received on a warm summer’s night. The DJ was fun with some old skool Café Del Mar tunes perfect for a summer evening :) We were also treated to Pink Moscato which was lovely and not too sweet and wines by Barefoot and Goose Island(NY) IPA which is nice. This was a very chilled out Unilocaler event and felt perfect for an Art Expose. I’ll definitely be back to Filter for a chilled out coffee and as you will see, I’m a HUGE fan of Pinch! Thanks to Flip for(another) lovely evening! :)

This was an awesome event. From the venue, Filter, to the food from Pinch, to the wine, baked goodies, lovely display and friend people, this event just had that special something. It was a nice amount of Unilocalers but not too crowded or overwhelming. The staff from Filter was wonderful and made delicious cold drinks for us, as well as tasty banana bread and chocolate chip cookies. The art was displayed very nicely! It looked so lovely and was fun to look at. Thank you so much Flip for a lovely evening!
