Good thing we do our grocery shopping across the street and then to Etos. We spent some while to figure out where to buy our body care products and over the counter medicines and ointments here b/​c Albert Heijne doesn’t have many choices. Expats everywhere here… of course the products are all different but just ask the staff and they’re friendly enough to show you Amsterdam equivalent.

The staff here is friendly and helpful. It should be noted that this store is not just perfumes and cosmetics but also various sundries like soaps, shampoos, bandages, powders, etc. I would suffice it to say they carry body care products.
Being that they are a chain probably run by a corporation, each store is probably set up demographically. In other words some stores carry certain products while others don’t. The store in my neighborhood doesn’t carry what I was looking for but another store in a different area does. Since this particular store doesn’t carry what I was looking for they also are unable to order it because it’s an item they don’t regularly carry.
Regardless, they have a large selection of most things you might need at good prices.
