Great coffeeshop with helpful staff (although sometimes a bit annoyed by the massive influx of tourists coming in). The menu is extensive, with nice descriptions behind every strain, including grow time, taste, and high. The only reason I’m not giving this coffeeshop 5* is mainly cause of the crowd that comes here, Amsterdam rude boys and tourists. For the rest a really really nice shop with enough seats for groups and such.

The only thing that was good about this place was their weed. The staff were rude and the vibe was sketchy. There were unprofessional «bouncers» walking around and one was smoking cigarettes. We waited about 30 minutes for a coke and glass of milk once we were seated and everyone around us was beyond messed up. I would consider picking upheld, but it’s not a nice place to hangout.

Der Coffeeshop hat eine super Lage direkt in der Haarlemmerstraat. Es gibt sehr viele Sitzplätze, aber leider ist immer recht viel los (was bei der Lage und dem gemütlichen Ambiente verständlich ist).
Die Bedienung ist zwar leicht überfordert, dennes kann schon ein bisschen dauern bis die Bestellung gebracht wird, aber sie ist dennoch freundlich und hilfsbereit.
Das Angebot ist wirklich sehr umfangreich mit gutem Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis.
Der Dampkring Coffeeshop ist ein toller platz um zu chillen und sich wohlzufühlen — kann ich nur weiterempfehlen!

This is a proper coffee shop. You get your ‘coffee’ at the entrance and you can decide to go in the back to consume or go on your way again. They have information material in different language that should even show the last skeptic person that this kind of business should be legal all over the world.
I liked the industrial style ambient and the orange juice very much (but what can you do wrong with orange juice after all, right?)

Well this was my very first coffee shop experience — however, the feeling was a little flat and the atmosphere was defiantly not as I expected.
The venue is very nice decorated and there is no doubt that the try to reach for a more high end class target group (well I can only compare with the places I saw walking the streets). However a friend recommended this place, so sure — we give it a go!
When you enter, you are received by a «bar-​guy» and you order by the menu. The menu is quit impressive and there is a blend for everyone and there are quite good description of the different choices.
All in all this is a very good place, and if you like it classy and sober — I would defiantly recommend this coffe shop, but as a girl who enjoys the more relaxed and casual atmosphere, I would not return to this place.
The menu was very good, the prices was good and the service was ok — but a nice place to have the first experience.

This is the best coffeeshop in Amsterdam currently, in my opinion. Great selection of smoke and excellent space cakes, friendly staff (except one gruff older Dutch man who might be the owner or manager), good drinks, and a very cozy spot upstairs by the window, overlooking the street. The crowd here is not sketchy like in some other places. The only ways they might improve are to offer wi-​fi, and to play better music– but as I and my friend spent most of the past week here, I can’t complain. This place and Amnesia were my favorites by far.

This was the first coffeehouse I visited in Amsterdam, also the last stop I made before I left. Both times it was very nice, quiet and chill. The Silver Haze was delicious (as it usually is) and so was the coffee. I HIGHly recommend visiting if you’re in the neighborhood!

mein absoluter favorit! ein kleiner gemütlicher coffee shop mit supernteem personal! als ich mit v. im august dort war haben wir 4 tage urlaub gemacht, und waren eigentlich in so gut wie keinem anderen coffeeshop drinne. deswegen wurden wir auch gleich mit den worten, hallo wie geht es dir?“auf gebrochenem deutsch angesprochen. wir haben gut gelacht! aber nun zum wichtigsten teil: die auswahl von dampkring ist super!!! auch das preisleistungsverhältniss ist gut. sorten wie ak-47,super silver haze oder white russian lassen das herz und die lunge lachen. wenn ihr am tresen vorbeigeht kommt ihr eine kleine treppe runter, wo ihr euch dann etwas zu trinken oder zu essen holen
ist nett dort zu sitzen, weil in fast allen coffee shops die sitzmöglichkeiten sehr beengent sind. aber hier ist es wirklich beqwem. und es ist der einzige coffee shop der ab 21 jahren (!) den eintritt gewährleistet. aber überzeugt euch selbst. ich hoffe ihr schaut mal rein! gruß
