WHOA NELLY. what happened to my appel taart!!! went here last night and the taart was totally different. still tasty, but soooo different. the ambiance and bar staff were still top notch though.

I came here a couple of times when on vacation and really loved the feel of the place. After living here for almost three months I finally made my way back wondering if it was just my vacation excitement that made me love the place. It ws actually quite good. It’s a good place to people watch while snacking on pretty cheap and tasty sandwich (about 4.50). They only serve lunch from 12– 3:30 though so you have a small window of opportunity before it switches to just bar snacks and eventually dinner.

I love the feel of the inside of this place. Grab a seat inside by the front window for something more comfortable and a little quieter that will still allow you to watch the passers by parading through the Nieumarkt.
The sandwiches we had were really great, but I’ll say their «in between» lunch and dinner menu is decidedly less impressive and we didn’t make it back to their dinner offerings.
