Great outdoor deck on a boat. Delicious apple cake. Reasonable prices(2.70 for a 25 ml beer). Nice bartender/servers

I love this place. The inside is perfect when it’s rainy or cold– lots of space to sit and plenty of beers to choose from. Outside, grab a table on the boat that’s reserved only for P96 customers. Order at the bar and bring it outside. Perfect place to chill and people watch while enjoying a cold beer. Only drawback is the boat attracts ALL of the birds, for some reason. Not a reason not to go, but just be mindful.

Went on vacation with my fiancé and decided to stop here for the sandwiches and fresh mint tea. The sandwiches were very unique and filling. We were impressed on the scenery at this café. In all, the tea was great and the sandwiches were amazing and they did not hold back on any of the toppings. I recommend stopping by when walking the canal.

We got a little bit of sunshine and beautiful weather on our first afternoon in Amsterdam and found ourselves wandering around the charming Jordaan neighborhood. Lots of winding streets, restaurants and cute bars along the lovely canals of Amsterdam. We worked up a bit of an appetite and popped into Café P96 because there were tables outside and a houseboat docked with tables right along the canal. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to snag one of the houseboat tables, but we sat outside and had a few small plates and beverages. We tried the Bitterballen, spicy meatballs w/chili sauce and mustard, bread and cheese. Yum and yum! Worth a pop in if you’re in the Jordaan.

This place was so great. While on vacation, my group missed a tour we were waiting for. Hungry and sad, we went to find a place to eat. It was totally empty when we got there, so we had the place to ourselves. The guy who was working was awesome! Her got us food and drinks in less than 10 mins since we were in a rush. He also suggested some awesome food options. My first time having bitter balls and they were amazing, I need to find some in the states. I wish we had had more time to hang out here!

This place keeps it very real. So real that I am a huge fan of P96. I usually use the outdoor seating on their parked boat, which of course means that I don’t get any service, but that’s the best part. I can’t rate them down for bad service. If you use the tables on the boat, you’re responsible for getting your own order from inside at the bar, although they do clean up the tables. The beer selection is quite good, and I have had some snacks before. It’s a great spot to hang out with a small group of friends. As you would expect, the views are great, and like another reviewer points out, the experience is quite quaint. I have never tried this spot during the winter, or for a meal, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they do all of those wonderfully, too.

Here’s what I like about this place: It’s quaint. It’s located in a cute neighborhood. Service is fast. There’s upstairs seating where you can tuck away with a close friend, smoke a cigarette and have quiet conversation. More and more these days I’m digging the low-key, secret spots of Amsterdam. The upstairs area — at least in my experience — is just that. A good spot to spend a few hours avoiding the rain and in whispers of discussion. Enjoy!

Kleines Lokal entfernt der Touristenströme und dennoch auf ausländisches Publikum ausgerichtet(englische Karte). Supernettes Personal, kleine Speisen, leckerer Kuchen. Kleine Toilette aber sehr sauber. Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

nettes Café, ganz in hellem Holz eingerichtet.
