Stopped off here for a coffee on Sunday morning before a walk around the De Pijp neighbourhood. Cappuccino was fine and came with a little shortbread biscuit :)

Great place for some evening drinks and snacks also they have a pretty decent selection of beers to keep pretty much most folks happy.

Wasn’t very crowded. Out of soy milk. I ordered a cappaccino which was pretty good. It came with a delicious shortbread cookie. Cozy atmosphere with the candles and the waitress was nice…

Hate to have my first review be a negative one but… Krull was our worst experience in an otherwise perfect week in Amsterdam. Service is horrible. Waitress was non-existent. Bartender only came out for his buddies. Do yourself a favor and visit one of the other fine establishments on Eerste van der Helststraat.

Nothing special here as far as I can tell, but one thing I do know is the high child quotient during the day. I know it is a big draw for cool parents but it is a very big no for me. Weekend days are like a daycare in there. That alone drives me away even though it is super close to my house. The menu is the exact same as every place else like it, but they do have more outdoor seating than other nearby spots so they have that going for them.

A one room bar, very crowded on Saturdays like any other place in the Pijp. Nothing special. Few seating. The crowd was more on the older side. Quite an hypster place. I need to re run it during a week day.

Café Krull is the first place I go when I arrive in Amsterdam. I order a delicious cheese, pesto and tomato broodje and a cup of coffee and bask in the sunshine on the patio. Afterward walk to the Cuyp Market or head across the street to the park.
