The staff is awesome. We were waiting for our air bnb and this café was across the street. It’s very cute and super affordable. The wait staff was really helpful as far as helping me understand the menu but there were still some surprises.
I ordered a ham and cheese omelette and it was pretty much an egg with meat & cheese on a bun open face. Which isn’t what I’m used to but it was still amazing.
The chef brought me the filet Americana to sample and it was awesome she was totally sweet and super funny.

Tasty sandwiches albeit on the small side. Ordered the Broodje Daan which is an roast beef sandwich with roaster paprika. Mmmm. Also ordered a croissant with nutella for dessert. :D Solid place to pick up a quick bite.

The café was a very gezellig breakfast hangout. You could feel the character of the neighbourhood as you see the locals coming in to have their morning meals. Our waitress was really nice though her English wasn’t good at all, but that made it more fun trying to interpret the menu as they only had a Dutch version. The sandwiches from this place are delicious and the overall cost of the meal is cheap. I would recommend the ones with egg and cheese.
The one I ordered was a pekelvlees (vleeswaren) sandwich which was some type of cured meat, I’m not exactly sure what it was, but probably pork.
Definitely worth visiting if you are in the neighborhood looking for a breakfast place or coffee
