Ordered an omelette and Americano for myself and hot chocolate for my friend.
The food was great. Plentiful and good value. Both the coffee and hot chocolate was satisfactory.
Although the waiter is a bit odd. Slightly rude.

Disappointed and wondered why the 4 stars? The woman who seated us was cold and sat us in the back next to the kitchen area. I had to ask her for napkins. We ordered hamburgers, I had to track her down for ketchup. She wasn’t pleasant either time I requested something of her. Two of us had hamburgers and didn’t realize the Dutch add a spice to their meat. I love a good US burger. Clearly, there are different spices used in Amsterdam. They do have an excellent chicken club sandwich.

Great, great pancakes. Maybe a tiny bit moist but I think they are supposed to be like that. Not really fluffy like you get in America. Bacon and apple was outstanding, the banana was also very refreshing yet sweet. It’s fairly quiet here, bit of a buzz, let down by the interior which touches on plasticy at times. Service was a touch sporadic with a military style. Portions are vast, so offers good value for money. I’d come back but I suspect there might be better to be found in Amsterdam.

Good place for a quick but uninspired lunch — had a huge club sandwich and a small beer. The ladies’ toilet was clean but the tiny spiral staircase was treacherous. I was glad I’d had only a small beer.

We had breakfast there and were delighted by the Dutch pancakes. They were delicious and lighter (which was welcome!) than we’d had elsewhere.
