BBROOD

I stumbled in a few days ago while vacationing in Amsterdam, and boy am I glad I did. We enjoyed a few pastries (chocolate croissants and appelschnitt) with koffie and cappuccinos. The counter staff was very helpful (and patient) since we didn’t know where to start.

Bbrood welcomes you in Swahili (new sign says: Karibu :-) and has not disappointed me up to now. It still sells the best speltbrood I can find in Amsterdam. The pastries and other breads I tried are really good and tasty.
And how nice that coffee is also sold here now, so you can take a coffee and a bread and crash down in Sarphatipark for lunch!

Everything I’ve tried here was on point. Savory, sweet, whatever your bread or pastry need, go satisfy it at Bbrood.

This is a lovely bakery and I’m glad to have on of their location close to my home. I can combine going to this place with getting my fruits and veggies at the Albert Cuyp market so that makes a lovely fresh food-​trip. I have been buying white and brown bread at this place for a while now but I have only tried their spelt bread recently after a few people here on Unilocal were raving about it ;) but they are absolutely right, it is delicious and now my favorite bread at this place.

I’m officially addicted! I have seen these bakeries all over Amsterdam but for whatever reason I haven’t made it down to one. On the recommendation of fellow Unilocalers, I stopped in. What the hell have I been missing?! Have I been missing out on amazingness, for months? Really? If you’re reading this do yourself a favor and get on your bike, scooter, car, pterodactyl or however you can get down there. I guess your feet too if you like. It’s like finding a golden unicorn. Okay, I’ll come down now.
I love spelt bread and that’s usually what I usually get at my local bakery, which is only slightly closer than BBROOD. Now I won’t name names of the other place but the Spelt bread here blows the other out of the water. In fact if they only sold this one loaf of bread I would still make the trip down there. Luckily they have quite a few other options and even more options with Spelt, which a lot of places don’t have. Speltcrackers, Speltmueslibol, Speltpuntjes and even Speltchocotaartje. They also make a pretty nice coffee to go.
This will now be my weekly Monday stop for bread. Maybe even bi-​weekly depending on how fast it goes. Enjoy!

this bakery is all over Amsterdam. The one bread i really love here is their Spelt but pretty much everything here is really good.

Sehr delikater Bäcker, normales Backgut (Brot/​Brötchen etc.) in sehr guter qualität+ zu einem etwas teuren Preis. Quasi sämtliche Produkte entstehen aus einem Sauerteig.
