I have nothing but nice things to say about this location. This was my breakfast hangout on about 4 mornings during my visit to the Dam last week. Unlike another review, the WiFi worked just fine. I brought my tablet with me each day. They tend to play quiet classical music so it’s advisable to bring ear buds out of consideration if you plan to listen to any audio. Only fair. The place reminded me of a smoking coffeeshop but without the smoke. Same laid back, chill atmosphere. I would grab a seat at the counter by the large front windows overlooking Keizersgracht. The coffee and bagels were very good. The staff was very pleasant and not the least bit intrusive. In typical European fashion, I was free to stay as long as I wished as Amsterdam woke up, especially on Saturday morning when everyone seems to sleep in. I would definitely return.

Cosy place with a great view and service. Excellent menu with great prices. The coffee was particularly good and the bagels were… bagelicious.

There are a bunch of these places around Amsterdam. They have good bagel options, although they are quite pricey, and some decent coffee. I’ve never managed to get the wifi to work, so it’s not a great place to do work from.

I found this place the other day in the late morning, when I was strolling around the area and I still didn’t have breakfast. So I went in, and ordered myself a bagel. I took the bagel with rucola, some smoked ham, and pine nuts in it. I got it in a tomato bagel, with walnut honey cream cheese. I also ordered an iced coffee. That was a good breakfast. It was very tasty, and the flavors were powerful yet sublime at the same time. The place was cozy, especially the interior with its nice furnishings. The staff was very friendly. They also have free WiFi. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. They do good bagels definitely.

First of all, I have to say that whoever designs the interior at Bagels&Beans must be blind because it just reminds me of puke. Not really what I’m looking for when I want a bagel. Also, they definitely overcharge for their bagels. In my opinion the price for a bagel should never be more than four euros and here that is already the price for a pretty basic bagel with cream cheese. Little note, your bagels are not that special… It’s just too bad that bagels can be hard to find in the Netherlands which means that people can get away with overpriced bagels and toppings. I prefer the prices at Shakie’s but sadly the one in Utrecht doesn’t do bagels anymore since they relocated within the station. But, now the positives. Number one: bagels. Number two: great service. We came in around 17:30 and the girls were already cleaning so they immediately mentioned that they were closing in half an hour, good to know and not a problem as we just wanted a quick bite on our way to the station. About two minutes later one of the girls already came to take our order. That I actually didn’t really like because that barely gave us time to read the menu so she went away to clean some more. When we decided what we wanted and that we would have it to go we walked back to the bar to order and ask if they could fill up our water bottles which was no problem. That’s something that I feel is a part of great service, just filling up a water bottle for someone and not forcing them to buy one of your drinks like a lot of other places do. So, as they were closing my friend got an entire avocado instead of half because they would otherwise have thrown it away. The girl actually asked«do you mind if I add some extra avocado to just finish it?» haha, what kind of a question is that?! But they were both very sweet and in spite of the ridiculous pricing and vomit like interior, I will be back because I just can’t resist bagels and friendly servers!

I love the Bagels&Beans. This is a great location since it is in the middle of Amsterdam, there are many seats inside and outside is a lovely great terrace. The girls working at this place are always friendly(actually, I think all their staff everywhere is friendly). The staff is also very efficient and you never have to wait long for someone to come and take your order. The coffee at B&B is nice but I usually go for the Matcha Latte. I just love matcha and a matcha latte isnt something you can order at every corner. The juices are also really nice and fresh and you can make them extra healthy with a shot chlorella or something. I also love the nutcase as a breakfast or when I’m really hungry: the wellness breakfast! Fresh yoghurt with all kinds of toppings you can add. Of course I also love the Bagels at this place. It’s nice that you can choose your own kind of bread and that there are so many options. I like the Tomato one. My favorite bagels are: the Tuscany creamcheese bagel and the Parmabella. Delicious! :) B&B also sells nice pastries. Sometimes when I’m with a friend I order the Sweet special. This includes all kinds of pastries and is sort of like a high tea. So nice!

Loved Bagels & Beans! Great friendly service despite being super busy on a Friday morning. We nabbed a table, scoured the menu. They have a wide variety of bagels with all the trimmings, teas, juices, coffee, etc. I settled on the BLT bagel and a red lemon tea. Both were great. Though I wish you got more than just one cup of hot water for the tea as its a bit expensive. My total was about 8 €. Not bad. Random fact: you can even open a B&B shop in your hood if you feel so inclined.

one of our favorite breakfast and lunch places. large variaty of bagels, muffins, juices, coffees and even high tea. Great location, cosy atmosphere and one of the only places that are already full with people on a early sunday morning, when the rest of Amsterdam is still asleep.

Volle 5 Sterne.
