St Paul’s Bay

Ok, it’s a little walk down to St Paul’s Bay, but what is waiting there for you is soo worth it! First decision is which view you want to enjoy from your sunbed — teeny white church set against clear turquoise sea to your right, or ancient Acropolis set against stunning blue sky to your left. Life is hard! After all that brain work you may need to head to the beach bar and have the handsome Greek barman fix you up a cooling cocktail, which you sip as you walk along the gently lapping sea watching the tiny fish darting around your holiday-​tanned toes. Should you then feel the need to work off the calories of your cocktail, and you don’t mind looking like Jacque Cousteau’s less able swimming buddy, then it’s time to get the snorkel and flippers on! Just a few feet out into the sea and you’ll be mesmerised by a whole different world going on underwater. Watch the brightly coloured tropical fish swimmimg around in perfectly co-​ordinated shoals, or the ungainly octopus as he lollops along a rock. After all that activity it’s time to lie back and relax, half concentrating on your trashy novel whilst watching the wedding couples in all their finery troop down the hill for their blessing at the little white church — now how romantic is that?!
