I really wanted to love this place. Before arriving, I looked over reviews on several travel sites and thought it was so cute. I liked the boutique hotel feel and was more than excited to stay here. The day of arrival, we checked in at the time we were instructed to check in to be told that our room was not ready. We had to leave our luggage and kill time in the area before our room was ready. We headed out to lunch and explored the surrounding areas. The hotel is located in a very residential neighborhood. Nice area with a beautiful park nearby, but it has limited selection of restaurants. So finding lunch was a tad hard. When we returned from lunch, our room was ready. We asked for two twin beds. When provided keys we were instructed that any time we were to leave, we would have to leave the room key with the front desk. And that someone would be available 24⁄7 at the front desk. We thought this was a tad strange and inconvenient. We walked into the tiny elevator that didn’t hold both of our luggage comfortably. It was extremely tight and we were sweating. If you are claustrophobic take the stairs. But beware, the stairs are cut real thin. So if you are used to the wide American cut stairs, then there is a good chance you may fall down these. So use caution! The room was quaint and decorated real cute. I loved the décor and the old Paris feel the room had. However, I hated the moldy humid smell that lingered throughout the hotel and especially in the room. The two twin beds were pushed up right next to one another. The floors were dirty. The entire room had a musty dirty feel to it. It was extremely dark, even with all the lights on and the window open. The bathtub and shower combination didn’t have doors. So when showering all the water would go on to the bathroom floor. So clearly they encouraged you to take baths, but the bath tub wasn’t clean. I couldn’t get myself to take a bath. The WiFi in the hotel is awful. It barely works in the room, and worked only a tad better in the lobby. Which explains why it is free. The hotel stay includes cold breakfast. Which includes yogurt, breads, pastries, cereals, cold cut meats and fruit. The dining area is on the basement level floor and is quaint. The server is extremely rude. The front desk employees are nice and helpful. Because this was part of our travel package deal, we didn’t know the hotel room rates. But regardless, we wouldn’t come back. The entire time we were uncomfortable and looked forward to our next hotel stay that we had on our agenda. We stayed here 3 nights and it was too much. One night here is sufficient.
