Tavern’Café

First meal in Paris and it was amazing. My meal was filet de porc and my husbands filet de duck. oMG. Loved the happy hour great beer. And the atmosphere was amazing. The servers were fret and attentive and the price of the meals were great and cheap for an excellent meal. It helped the menu was in English as well! Thanks for a wonderful first time experience

We stopped in to maybe get dinner but the menu was uninspiring so we only had one drink & left.
Service was ok.

We walked by this restaurant and their big load of seafood at the front attracted me; hence, I had to sit down to try some of those.
Seafood were a lot fresher here, not the best though but good enough since they are a café style. Also tried their cold foie gras, it was so rich and flavorful! Loved it!
Also, outstanding wine at good price! Our server was good too because he was very attentive.
They also provide free wifi! Ask for their pasword, it’s usually listed in their menu.

We go here for 2 things: have a 1664 beer and watch people on the sidewalk and Le Filet Mignon de Porc (great mustard sauce). Friendly staff too.

This is one of my main hangouts on every Paris visit. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating to my requests in butchered French or English. Their prices are very reasonable for the downtown Paris area. The owner is helpful & friendly. I believe that he may be the only owner in the metro Paris area who has ever bothered to come over to my table to talk to my friends and I despite our language barrier. I recommend the roasted Chicken, Tandoori Chicken and the frites. I have never seen them run out of French bread. They usually deliver far more bread than I could ever desire.

I have had the pleasure to eat here at least 15 times over last 2 years. I regret that I have taken so long to review this establishment considering they have only 1 review. I would rate the food a solid 3 ½ stars and recommend the roasted chicken dish as well as the tandori chicken. Great bar food along with a fairly priced glass of wine. My significant other can also attest to the rum steak. They have a very good mozzarello salad (appetizer size) as well as 3 – 4 large house salads. I prefer the tavern salad which is loaded with several different cheeses, tomatoes, greens, eggs and 2 different types of bread. I have to mention that the Tavern has never been out of French bread at any time I have been there. If you like a casual, friendly place to hang out and drinks that are faily priced, I would highly reccommend the Tavern café.
Thge owner himself has helped me out 2 times with selecting a new red wine that was inexpensive and very good. What more can I say. Merci
