Having recently moved to Paris, I was in need of a great salon but I had been scarred by negative experiences at other Parisian salons the last time I lived here! So I took a chance on Saravy, without really knowing what to expect (other than the fact that they exclusively use Aveda products which is a huge plus, they’re one of only three salons in the entire city of Paris that do). Upon my arrival, I was very warmly welcomed by Saravy (the owner of the studio) and she took about 15 minutes to consult with me to figure out exactly what I wanted to do, using photos to confirm exactly what I meant. French is not my first language and I was not an easy case– curly hair, 3 month old highlights, the works. Not only did I walk out with a great haircut, but the color was as if Saravy read my mind! It is perfect and one of the best I’ve ever had done. We chatted the entire time, and a true highlight was the shampoo: she does a head massage that will hypnotize you! It was amazing. I left the studio not only with a great haircut and color, but also completely relaxed. The prices are completely reasonable and are even on the low side considering the impeccable quality of the service. Students also get a 20% discount on the cut. The only thing that might trip people up is the time: I was there for 2.5 hours, which was completely fine with me, but if you’re in a rush you should probably say so in advance, because they are meticulous and obviously enjoy taking their time to make sure that everything is perfect. In my opinion it’s worth carving out the time for the full experience :) I could not recommend Saravy and her studio more!
