My wife told me, «If you are tired of just getting a buzz cut, why don’t you just go next door and get a hipster haircut?» So I did. Mona greeted me when I ducked in on my way back from school and she said she was wrapping up a color application and I should come back in 15. Great! So I went home and dropped off my backpack and gear, picked up my dry cleaning, and headed over. Mona hung up my jacket and dry cleaning and took me over for a shampoo. I forgot what it feels like to get a first class haircut. The shampooing /head massage was awesome! I explained in my broken French with a mix of English that I’m trying to grow out my hair and need the hair just cleaned up. She was very happy to be given leeway to do as she pleased. I was offered and brought coffee by a gentleman who I believe was the owner. How do I know? He was the only one who was lounging! Mona did her magic and my wife approves: She says that a mark of a good haircut is one that allows you to roll out of bed and not require any product to look good. Looks like I’ll be back in a few weeks.
