An amazing restaurant, in the old French style. It’s harder than you think to find carefully prepared food with delicious flavors and an experimental flair in Paris. So many of the menus are all alike and not as good as a moderately skilled chef can cook at home. But here is a real gem! Tiny, crowded, popular, but boy-oh-boy do you eat well! Highly recommended. Make reservations as the place is small and might not be able to accommodate you. Our menu: headcheese and toast starter — very well prepared, and so tasty it was loved even by my husband who normally won’t eat such things. A lamb stew with pretty shaved vegetables(not over cooked) and a good rich sauce, the lamb cooked to melt-in-the-mouth stage. Little rounds of tender pork, also with vegetables and a lovely clear light sauce. Dessert: a fruit stew with homemade lime sorbet, light and delicious. Ate it even though I was stuffed.

I had a truly memorable meal here a couple of years ago. I was in town for a conference, and asked my Parisian friends to take me to their favorite place. My friend Lia said«it’s very French,» with a serious look. I wasn’t disappointed. It’s a cozy and attractive restaurant, with an intimate, neighborhood vibe. It’s a wonderfully casual place to chat and relax. We ended up downing a bottle of wine before eating. The food was magnificent. I started with the crispy pig’s ears, which was mind-blowingly delicious. I was in chewy, crispy, tasty heaven. I still have dreams about it. And for the main course, I had the roast pigeon. My pal Daniel stared me in the eye and recommended that I get it rare. I went with it, and boy was I glad I did. The pigeon was a bit bloody, but man, was it succulent. I chewed on the bones until I scraped off every possible morsel of pigeon meat. Now I go back whenever I visit Paris. Sometimes I walk a couple of miles from my usual hotel just to go there. It’s worth the trip.

Four and half stars if Unilocal allowed. The cream of white carrot soup was excellent, not too sweet, with bits of ham and chives. Want to make it at home. Tuna maki okay, but points for innovation. Lamb was not trimmed and came with no vegetables. Roast pigeon came very rare, red, as recommended. The dish came with carrots, parsnips, foie gras, baby chanterelles, and a few slices of over cooked celery cut on the bias. I miss green vegetables! Small cozy place. Charming friendly service. Described as a neighborhood haunt, since out of the way, not touristy, but many foreigners so the word is out. Fig tart is amazing, must eat.

This is by far my favorite place to eat in Paris, a lovely restaurant in the 17th arrondissement. To preface this review I’ve had my fair share of overpriced and disappointing meals in Paris, but have also found a few gems — and L’Entredgeu is a must visit for those who love excellent food and great service. To start, the food was outstanding. I started off with the terrine de campagne, which was a pâté served with a toasted slice of bread and lightly drizzled with a balsamic glaze. For the entrée I ordered the carre de l’aigneau(lamb shanks) which were served over a fluffy potato gratin with roasted garlic on the side. For dessert, I enjoyed a vanilla cream layered pastry, which was perfectly sweet. For a prix fixe(fixed price) of 35 euro per person, for a 3-course dinner, this was a steal considering the quality of the food and the generous portions. I left completely satisfied. The service was also excellent. I was traveling for business so I was eating alone, and the host gladly accommodated my request for a table for one at dinnertime. The waitstaff were attentive and pleasant. The ambiance was lively, yet also intimate since it is a smaller restaurant. A couple of tips: — Call ahead to make a reservation if you can, the restaurant starts to get full about an hour after opening. If you do not have a reservation, I would recommend showing up early, close to opening time, to get a table. — They do not have an English menu, so it is very helpful to understand basic French or know key French words for different types of foods. If the waiter knows a little English they will offer to walk you through it, but I would not rely on this. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris. I can’t wait to go back!

Best meal in Paris so far, after several highly rated disappointments. The restaurant is in the middle of nowhere, but is close to a Metro stop and with a taxi stand right around the corner, so getting there & leaving is not a problem. It’s a low key, small local restaurant, not touristy, comfortable and warm ambience. Picky wine-drinking friends were very pleased with their choices of wines by glass, and for starters the scallops were amazing, oysters delightful, fried fish ball things(forgot what they were called) little clouds of delicate fish mousse – but the scallops & oysters stole the show as openers. Bread lovely, fresh, pale brown, but not too strong a flavor to overwhelm the food. The carre de porc was delicious, though after a few slices, had to cut away some of the fat that came with each beautifully crisp tranche. Others enjoyed their fish dish and the fois gras/meat pastry plat was rich & delicious. Each dish very different in taste and tone, appropriate for each selection, but showing real depth and variety to the menu. Dessert of Mont Blanc and apple tart both really good. A truly delightful evening meal.

Stayed in the area one evening in a one day stop in Paris. Excellent food at very reasonable price. One menu with multiple selection. Lamb(selle d’agneau) was great!

We booked reservations at this restaurant because we read great things about it. We had no problems(okay, a little — big problem) with ordering even though the wait staff did not speak English and our French sucked eggs. There was one piece of meat we could not figure out and the waiter thought long and hard before he said, «aaaa BAMBI» to which all three of us laughed at. We of course ordered Bambi for the waiter. We are not sure but it appeared that we did not get Bambi medium rare instead it was cooked to a leather. It was by far the worse restaurant we dined at in Paris. We guessed the waiter had no clue what we said about«medium rare» in French. But, we found out later at another restaurant that French chefs cook food very well done for Americans if they do not know what you want. How this came to be we do not know but alas our meal was ruined. The rest of the dinner was fine but we were starving because we could not chew the Bambi. We ended up eating some where else to which we can not recall. So, long story short do not come here if you can not speak French clearly. I’m sure they serve great food if prepared correctly.

Grand chef. Bravo!!! La qualité de la cuisine est inhabituellement plaisante. La variété surprennante. Sur les assiettes tout nous parraisait parfait. Le service pourrait être un tantinet moins conventionel, plus chaleureux et personel pour le cadre volontairement bistrot.
