La Bodeguita

Jolie cave à manger dans le style de la Crèmerie, mais en moins agréable. Les vins son tops, la nourriure es sympa, mais le patron n’est pas des plus agréables. Pas mon préféré donc, mais c’est vrai que la sélection de vins me donne envie d’y retourner de temps à autres !

Phil, a friend of mine in my EAP program found this place and told us to come by since I liked wine so much.
On Thursdays, from 6−9pm they have a happy hour: 2 €/​glass of wine. Unfortunately they’re rouge, blanc, ou rose and they’re from a dispenser from the fridge. They have other selections from the bottle, but I didn’t get the chance to sample those. They also offer free tapas. It just depends on what they have and feel like serving.
This is a great place to practice your French when it’s not crowded, but the lady seemed to love California when we mentioned it and kept talking to us in broken English. I tried my best to use French.
The ambiance here is a bit barren, but still nice. Mirrors in the place make it look bigger and reflect the low lights from candles and dim lamps. The restroom is very quaint. To lock the door, you turn a key that’s in the key hole. Very unique.
I wished I had learned of this place sooner, as it is time for me to head back to the states.
