Nice café to relax and study, especially with nice sofas. :) They are really polite and kind. I get positive vibes here.

Delicious bagel sandwiches and friendly staff. We went here twice during our week in Paris because it was a nice easy way to start the day. By the way, the coffee is pretty good too! Side note: All the staff we met spoke English, not perfect but there English was better than our French so that made it easier to order.

Coffee in Paris is typically quite expensive, so it was a nice surprise to find reasonably priced, palatable coffee. The café itself has a calm atmosphere, with more space than you’d expect inside. It’s good spot to fuel up when you’re about to bustle among Parisians for a day. Their croissants weren’t bad too!

One of my favorite corner cafés to relax, get some work done and have a snack. They have Dr Pepper(yay!) and great bagels and donuts. The sandwiches and salads are very good, filling and for a reasonable price. The team is always friendly, helpful and professional thanks to Louis and Stephane. You won’t go wrong by having lunch or a snack at Brook’s.

I just had a turkey sandwich on an(asiago?) bagel and it was mind-blowing. I’m of the opinion that bagel sandwiches have always been severely underrated, and this may be the best one I’ve ever had. Never would have guessed I’d have found it in Paris, but there you go. As a bonus, the staff is super friendly, the cappuccino is delicious and the WiFi connection is fast and free. Unfortunately, I don’t speak French, but that wasn’t an issue here — everyone spoke English and was very welcoming. I’ll definitely be returning here.

I take my bagels very seriously. I’m from Brooklyn, it’s only normal. As a result I have been fairly amused by the recent«bagel mania» in Paris, and have been disappointed with the French take on my national bread on more occasions then I care to count. Which is why when I stopped by this brand new café on the boulevard Magenta and ordered a bagel untoasted and without any filling(which is the ONLY way to judge a bagel) my expectations were low. I casually asked if the bagels were baked on site, thinking to myself«yeah right,» and the owner, said«yes, we make them fresh downstairs!» My jaw on the ground, I gave him a thumbs up and told him he was making this New Yorker proud. On my way home I tasted the bagel and was blown away. Dense, chewy, yeasty and with a light crust(which could be a little crustier in my opinion), the bagel itself was delicious enough to be eaten on its own. I went back the next day and ordered another bagel, this time a spicy herbed bagel with cheese mixed into the dough, and it was great as well. So, definitely go there for the bagels, which you can make into a custom sandwich for only 6 €. There’s also a made-to-measure salad bar that looks appetizing and the café itself is pleasant to sit in as well. A wonderful addition to the bagel scene in Paris and a great, new, affordable lunch spot in the Republique neighborhood!
