I went to this place as a tourist and I luckily caught the photographic exhibition of «Paris, Avant-Apres». It’s open to the public for free. The entire show was small but it amazingly exhibited how much this city has been evolved, changed, developed since 1860 to now. Each display simply had two photos for the same place to show the contrast of the past and now. I found not only the photos were interesting but also the people around me. Some of them are young students but many of them are senior couples. They watched and murmured, sometimes taking a closer look and surprised, sometimes talking about their insider stories to the others… I guess most of them are native Parisians and this scene reminded me exactly the same either in New York or in Beijing. It’s such a great exhibit!
