Café Aamurusko is a nice neighborhood café with fresh and tasty pastries and a very affordable breakfast. My visits here have often been for the breakfast(porridge and fresh tasty bread you can fill with cheese, tomato, cucumber, egg) which I’ve enjoyed together with orange juice and coffee. During the summer the breakfast is the best as you can sit outside and watch the local life pass by. Many people seem to come here also for«dagen efter» breakfast and you can hear stories from the night before. Even when you visit during the winter in the mornings, the place may lack the huge amounts of people, but the place has a gathering of local men that have retired and gather here to share the latest gossip. It’s actually quite funny to listen to because you get a wrap of the latest local news and it’s almost like they compete to tell the stories best. After the breakfast I often end up buying bread home from here and during«laskiainen»(Shrove Tuesday) they also have the best shrove buns or semlas! Yum!
