Amazing cocktail bar. If this were in SF, I’d frequent it. The craft cocktails were delicious — I went for a lemonade type drink. Space was really cozy, bustling, intimate, hip, and just cool all at once. Good music to boot!

Amazing drinks, food, atmosphere. Tried the crudo seared beef, ceviche of the day(hamachi), empanadas and potato cake. All were amazing and so filling. The waitstaff were super friendly and very helpful in picking out the right dish and wine combinations. A great dining experience in Helsinki.

Pastor is some sort of Peruvian, Asian and Latin crossover restaurant and whatever they wish to call themselves it does work. The space is welcoming and despite the packed room and fairly barren walls they managed to keep the sound level low enough for people to easily carry-on a conversation. Staff are friendly albeit a bit stressed but not so that it bothered me. They have a fairly interesting wine list, with a lot of variety and fairly many wines by the glass(for example four different sparkling wines by the glass). The beer selection is also good with many interesting options and the cocktails impress as well. What was a disappointment was however the non-alcoholic selection– 2 beers and sodas. No cocktails, ciders or other interesting stuff and the beers were not really that exciting. Food is meant to be shared and that was what we did. Great and plentiful edamame with ginger, soy and lemongrass sauce was very nice. The empanadas were ok and the sauce saved the dish. The zucchini tempura was fresh and the sauce was r a good fit. The highlight was however the short ribs, plenty of food and really tender and juicy with the right flavors. A bit messy to eat but good. The churros for dessert are better skipped, not bad but also not worth it.

Nice place, amazing food, great vibe and service. The one cocktail my girlfriend had looked and tasted awesome. Would be a 5 star rating if there was more vegetarian mains to choose from.

Went there to celebrate a birthday with a large group. We had chosen the menu a week in advance, but on arrival it took 1 hour to get the first bite(minuscule, to say the very least); afterwards there was a wait of 30 minutes in between dishes, so even though the food was very tasty, nobody really enjoyed the experience because we were very hungry. The main course arrived after 2 hours of sitting down, never mind that it was a 5 — course meal, same exact thing with the drinks. After we complained, the food curiously started arriving faster, but we were already very disappointed. Seems that they are understaffed for heavy services! I don’t rate it with one star, because the servers were very apologetic and tried their best to make the experience less unpleasant. Certainly not a place were neither I nor my friends would go back to.

Excellent location and vibe for social occasions like after work, girls night, pre night out dinner/drinks! Most dishes were easy to share and had a great mixture of Japan and Peru concept with a good price quality.

Absolutely lovely dining experience recently at newly opened Pastor. The Argentine Malbec, whitefish ceviche, scallops with avocado whip and short ribs = incredible. My dining companion and I shared everything, which was the way to go. A few bites of each made for a very satisfying meal. Amazing dinner, well tuned staff, excellent spot, great company, beautiful setting. It’s dark and rainy in Helsinki, but Pastor is keeping the stars blazing…
