Beautiful interior and great meat dishes for lunch. Pulled pork is amazing.

The food was five star quality, no doubt about that! This is a paradise for the meatlovers, especially if you decide to go for the sets(which are huge). Beautiful, authentic BBQ that was simply delicious. They also serve seitan, so vegetarians are welcomed as well. But, unfortunately, our experience almost reduced my rating to three stars. When we visited the place in June, we were extremely disappointed with the service. Everything went fine up until we got our food. After that, we weren’t noticed at all. We weren’t able to order any more drinks and the waiter was clearly avoiding eye contact with us. We sat 25 minutes with empty plates in front of us, not being able to order the check until one of us went to the counter to order it. But it still never came! After total of 40 min of waiting we all went to the counter to pay, being really upset. The person at the counter was shocked to hear about the wait and gave us a discount without asking, but it didn’t cover the non-existent service we experienced. There were some customers in the restaurant, yes, but it wasn’t packed. And even if it would have been, the servers cannot avoid the customers! Hope to see some improvement in this area since the food was amazing.

The ultimate raunchy & urban BBQ joint definitely worth visiting. Ribs were really tasty, tender and nicely caramellized. Portions were large enough. Place really ticks all the boxes for hipster experience from appropriately tattooed staff, indie music(points for Finnish music) to bricks & concrete interiors.

A modern take on the classic German BBQ shop. Located in a former butcher’s quarter, the place’s atmosphere is fitting. I had a pulled pork burger with a side of sweet potatoes. The burger was delicious and the crispy fresh and sweet apples and celery complemented the savory pork perfectly. The gluten free burger bun was you can expect from gluten free pastry. That is, a little dry. However, the marinade more than made up for its dryness. However, the food aside, this place is a cool, hip place in an industrial part of town, that is in the midst of an urban transformation into a cultural hotpot.

The concept is so perfect for me, so I had to give the place another chance. I found myself conveniently located to give b-smokery another go, this time for lunch. I’m glad I did! Although everyone else seemed to order the triple pork burger, I decided to try the baby ribs. Great choice! The meat fell nicely off the bone and this time there was plenty of bbq-sauce to go with it. The cheesy corn(?) porridge was a very nice complement and somewhat unique in Finland. Add a spot outside in the sun and a cold beer — what is left to improve? A tip, should the owners read this, would be to join forces with Stadin Panimo to get some fresh brews, rather than the canned beers.

I dined at B-Smokery for a second time recently on a Saturday night. Teurastamo is rather trendy and this place fits the bill, with industrial décor, exposed brick, and old photographs of the former slaughterhouse. Before I start, I’m a native Texan so I know a thing or two about BBQ — picky as hell. It’s been a home run at B-Smokery both times. If I had to pick, their ribs and coleslaw are my favorite — plenty of meat on the ribs, and nice vinegar hint to the slaw to give it that acidic kick. This particular night, I had their«small» all-in platter that samples all the meat — ribs, pulled pork, brisket, and two sides, coleslaw and grilled veggies were my choice. Cornbread included. Everything was delicious. And the«small» portion was super filling. If I had to be critical, the beer selection is fairly limited. But they’ve expanded the bar selection since the previous time I was here, so at least they’re getting there :) I warmly recommend B-Smokery — go there today, like now, and get your BBQ grub on! Lots of value here with affordable, savory, filling portions. Honest assessment: Best BBQ I’ve had in Finland.

Nice little joint. It looked like it might be the place but not. Being from the Sates I have been privy to great BBQ either Texas or Tennessee BBQ and let me tell you this isn’t it. First off real BBQ is not served like gourmet food. The portions are ridiculously small. In a real BBQ joint you order ribs and you get a manly portion of juicy well seasoned meat not three squalid bones. I literally got 4 ribs and one of them had no meat and looked like jerky. The taste was off. You could taste the crunchiness of the granulated sugar. I also ordered chicken wings and they cooked them for way too long. This is someone’s own idea of BBQ. Needless to say I paid 30 euros for 3 ribs, a little polenta(which was quite good) and cowboy beans(nice too). And chicken wings. I guess they know their sides but that wasn’t BBQ. Sorry! The place was awesome and cozy like a BBQ joint should be. The staff was really attentive. I was able to see these little things after my anger washed away at some other place. Maybe they didn’t have their A-game that day but I am not going back.

B-Smokery is located in the Teurastamo area i Sörnäinen, where different cool restaurants and food-related things are developing. At B-Smokery the main focus is on meat, and that’s a focus they handle more than well. I’m not much of a meat person, but I had the pulled pork burger and it was awesome. My partner went for the 42e full menu, and liked everything he had, especially the ribs. The dessert(apple pie) wasn’t particularly memorable, but not bad either. In sum — great meat, some vegetarian options too, cool interiors, super friendly staff, good beer, go go go!
