We enjoyed our stop on a recent road trip through the area. They had some really great artists’ work. Pricing was generally within the«average» range for original pieces. We found some great, unique gift items, too. I had a nice chat with Amy(I believe she’s the owner or manager) and really appreciated her time and insights. They offer classes that sounded fantastic! We pass through 1 – 2 times each year on our way to visit friends and will definitely stop again.

I’ve never been to Zumbrota, but went on a pilgrimage to see Mike Doughty here in September 2014(question jar show!). Mike Doughty + Scrap Livingston + questions from the audience= one memorable night. This actually looks like an old movie theatre but I’m not 100% sure. I would describe this venue as having character. And, by character, it has seen better days and is in need of a remodel. The chairs looked worn as were other parts of the theatre but there was something quaint, antique-y, and homely about this place. The acoustics for the concert were excellent and so was the lighting. The bathrooms left something to be desired(They were old but not dirty). But, if you are looking for a concert venue with«character» this place certainly has it.

What a grand feeling walking up the front steps into this 100+ year old Carnegie library building. Make sure to not overlook the art pieces in the front lawn amidst the beautiful flowers. The interior is chock full of art. It’s everywhere! And it’s really cool. And almost everything there is for sale. We arrived on a Friday evening for a concert and found there, set-up, metal fold-out chairs for people to sit upon. We had purchased tickets online before hand. When we arrived, we found they had our names written on a list. We learned that we only had to call ahead to reserve tickets(for free) instead of ordering them and paying a fee of $ 6 for doing so.

What a fantastic little shop of eye candy! It’s plum full of quality artisanry. It’s a trinket store with an edge. You won’t be able to see everything in one visit. It’s a mixture of matching and unmatching, Bohemian and classy, yoga and chic. It feels like a thrift store but nothing is used. Come here to shop for your girlfriends and coworkers, and your kids will love it too. And, they’re dog friendly. Yes, they let dogs in their store! They host live concerts on their«stage» and there’s a clay studio in the basement. It’s a happening place with right-brain art, poem, writing, painting etc classes nearly every weekend.
