I’ve tried several dentists since the dentist I used as a child got sick and could no longer practice. Dr. Germain is hands down the best, most thorough, genuinely caring, and gracious dentist I’ve have ever had the good fortune of knowing. This office came and a high recommendation of a family friend after switching jobs and finally getting rid of the worst insurance plan ever, Delta Dental. With my new insurance plan, I could basically choose my own dentist as long as they accepted the plan. At first Dr. Germain’s office did not accept the plan I had, but they asked me about the insurance on my first contact. The office then called the insurance company and signed up so they could accept my new insurance, and because of the referral of a current customer also. Good start so far!
On my initial visit, I knew I was going to have a difficult cleaning for it had been a couple of years since I had been to the dentist. The reason for that had been because Delta Dental only had five overworked dentists in Indianapolis on their plan at the time (that were accepting new customers) and those five practiced nowhere close to where I lived or worked. However, Dr. Germain personally took the time to do my entire new patient work up including examination, x-​rays, mouth scan and obtaining all pertinent medical records. She then gave me the most thorough cleaning I’d ever had, and she even performed some examinations that I had never seen before. She patiently answered all my questions and made sure that all my objectives were met during her visit.
Her office is full of the latest technology including digital x-​rays which use a fraction of the power of traditional x-​rays and give you an instant picture. The tech can immediately know if they need another x-​ray. The office chairs are super comfy and there is flat panel TV positioned above the chair (in the examination lights chandelier) complete with digital cable TV and you can choose what you watch. The office is immaculate and always decorated with the appropriate season. There are plenty of toys and books to keep little ones busy both in the waiting area and the actual exam rooms themselves.
Subsequent visits have been smooth with her encouraging me in good habits and giving me instruction on things I can do to improve oral hygiene. On times when I’ve had semi-​emergencies (tooth pain) she’s seen me right away, sometimes with only a few moments notice and, again, was very thorough and genuinely concerned for my well being. Referrals she’s given me have been also superb people to work with. Her staff reflects her professional personality with making sure that your satisfied and making sure that you genuinely thanked for choosing them.
On a side note, she’s hired an understudy dentist who has immediately absorbed Dr. Germain’s personality and helped to expand the number of people that they can see in a day.
I have been very happy and highly recommended Dr. Germain to anyone that is looking for a dentist.
