Maybe I didn’t order the right thing… but there were 4 different dishes on our table, and the only one that was really good was the gumbo on grits. That dish was delicious. The breakfast tacos were pretty boring and definitely didn’t have enough avocado in them. Plus, look, I order tacos so that I can pick them up and bite them — these are covered in sauce(I thought the sauce was inside not poured on top), more like an enchilada. The other two dishes I didn’t get to try, but the folks eating them weren’t that impressed. Follow that up with our lack-luster service and I can’t see coming back here. The coffee was nothing to write home about, and the prices were about average. The one thing I enjoyed about this place was the location. The town is so cute and the place itself is fairly welcoming. We were able to sit right away at 11am on a Saturday — so that was great. I would go again for those grits, but otherwise I could easily pass.

For over two years, we have searched far and wide for a breakfast spot we could call«ours». We have discovered many great places, but nothing that really spoke to us. Until today. My boyfriend and I found Rosies Place on Unilocal(thank you, everyone!) and decided to give it a shot. I have wanted to show Scott downtown Zionsville for a long time(you all need to see it during the holidays!)…so this was a great opportunity! Parking was easy and walking a couple of blocks was fine since it was such a warm day. We walk up to Rosies to see that the place is quite busy… but when we walk in, there was no wait! I really like the bright and open atmosphere. There is a lot of natural light and the décor is simple. Our waiter was amazing. I wish I remembered his name! He was excited to hear that it was our first time and made sure to let us know that EVERYTHING(except the English muffins) was made right there at the restaurant and from scratch. I started off with a Pina Colada Mimosa and wow was it delicious! Sometimes those types of drinks taste more like sunscreen than a beverage but I was pleasantly surprised! Delicious bits of toasted coconut lined the rim of the glass. White fluffy coconut foam sat atop a mixture of coconut milk, pineapple juice and prosecco. I stopped after one but could have easily had more! I ordered the Winter Veggie Hash Benny which includes squash, onion, kale, mushrooms, brussels sprouts and potatoes spread over a warm, toasty engligh muffin. On top of that were two poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. I tried to eat slowly in an effort to savor every moment and bite but I basically inhaled the dish. Scott ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of french toast. Typically, we find ourselves very disappointed with b’s and g when we go out. Biscuits from the freezer section, bland gravy… etc. But not this time. The gravy was very flavorful and the biscuits were CLEARLY homemade. The french toast … I cannot find the words to describe that experience — Giant fluffy, flavorful, toasty, delicious pieces of heaven. The homemade challah bread turned a basic dish into a magical experience. I have been consumed with work for the past month… working nights and on weekends. Coming to Rosies broke me free of the chains of life for a couple of hours and I came back to life! Scott and I have found«our place» and I look forward to coming back very soon!

Our family’s favorite place to eat Sunday brunch in downtown Zionsville. Excellent food, friendly service, and great baked goods bar. My favorite was the verde chile Benny off the breakfast menu.

Classic eggs Benedict is the way to go, it’s borderline spectacular. Roasted potatoes might be the best version I’ve had in a restaurant(almost no one gives them respect) and were a perfect Benedict pairing. Bacon is solid. Coffee is solid. Pancakes are quite good, passing the toddler test with flying colors. Service has been excellent on both visits, we came once while they were very busy and once while slow. Friendly wait staff who are attentive enough without being bothersome. Cute restaurant that feels nice, clean, homey. Kid factor: Definitely have high chairs and booster seats, welcoming kids with open arms. Good space between tables too so your kiddo doesn’t have to be in the face of a neighbor. Both toddler and baby absolutely loved the pancakes.

Best brunch on the north side! I was so sad when eagle creek coffee company closed but this place has blown it out of the water. You must order the caprese eggs Benedict. My mouth is watering just thinking about them! Service is great and everyone is very friendly.

This place was actually really good! It was busy during lunch hours but wait wasn’t long. Customer service was great. Food was great!

This was our first time to Rosie’s Place-they have done an awesome job renovating it into a casual homey atmosphere restaurant. I could see spending cold winter days inside with friends. Right off the bat as you enter, it has a much better charm than the previous establishment, Eagle Creek Coffee. The prices on the menu are very reasonable with several«side dish» choices. I had the special omelet of the day-with spicy chorizo sausage, peppers and cheese. They were kind enough to make it with egg whites-the sausage was just a bit too greasy for my taste. I would definitely come back with friends to try their lunch menu.

For as lovely as it is, Main Street Zionsville has a strange lack of really good restaurants, so I was pleasantly surprised by Rosie’s! I went for a Sunday brunch a few weeks ago and really enjoyed the California Egg Sandwich. My group and I got some treats to go from their bakery cases up near the register(smart of them to put all of that out right next to where you have to pay!)…so worth it! Highly recommend checking out this place for brunch and then checking out the cute shops along Main Street!

This was my first time here I read the reviews good and bad but it didn’t stop me from coming in. We arrived at about 1:00pm they close at 2pm Saturday but had no problem getting a table about a 3 min wait for us. The servers were dressed in Halloween costumes very fun. The service was fast and accurate, I ordered the cup of white chicken chilli and my wife had the chicken Tortia soup for starter. For meals we got breakfast options french toast and the tenderloin Benny it was hot and delicious all of it was. We got our food in less then 15 min not a long wait at all. The staff was very busy the place was pretty full yet they handled it all so professional. I do believe if people are having a difficult time maybe they are just being too picky or just think they are food critics this is all about sharing your experience and mine was more then perfect and I will be back. Looking forward to it !

I’ve eaten here twice. And that will be all. The atmosphere is nice and unassuming. The help is is nice too. The food is okay if you don’t mind your hot meal arriving cold, after waiting much too long for it. The food is over priced considering the aforementioned. The reason why I will not return is it happened both times. When I went my last time we waited very long for the food, then it came cold. I didn’t want to reorder because we were hungry. That is my wife and I, and 2 young children. So when I spoke to the cashier she didn’t care and didn’t accommodate on me my check. It’s clean and okay. But not worthy of the prices they charge until they get the hospitality business down.

Rosie’s was our only option for a sit down breakfast this past Sunday for breakfast before football since the vendors at the Fall Festival were not ready quite yet. You know the feeling when you sit down that things are not going to work out? Sitting for 10 minutes with no drink order in a half empty restaurant at 11:30 prompted that feeling. We stood up to leave when the waitress arrived. She took our coffee orders and was not seen again for 15 minutes. Again, we were on our feet to leave when the coffee arrived. We quickly put in our order before she left again and waited… and waited… and waited… Our food arrived at 12:35. 65 minutes before receiving breakfast. The food was fine — but it’s nothing I couldn’t have done at home. We shoved our food down our face as we were due in Brownsburg at 1, so even the eating part of the experience sucked. I’m not a complainer — I don’t think it serves any purpose — I usually just vote with my wallet. But after having the privilege of standing in line for another 10 minutes trying to pay, I was angry. The«so sorry — everything is a custom order and we just got busy» spiel of the owner reeked of having said it a million times before. That is what is prompting this review. The owner did not care at all that she was wasting people’s time. It’s the way it goes at her establishment. Okay — well, at Flapjacks — the pancakes are better for half the price and a quarter of the wait time. It’s not as cute and quaint, but who cares with that kind of service. This is why chain restaurants win — operational efficiency. At least post a sign saying to expect wait times — it isn’t a given. The best part was the lady behind me in line who echoed my same sentiments to the cashier, but was even angrier than I was. The cashier said to hang on because the owner was on her way, but the lady told her she didn’t care — she wouldn’t be back — end of story. Neither will I. Fin.

I’m shocked to see bad reviews. I’ve been several times and always had stellar service and amazing food. Granted, I make a point to not visit restaurants at their peak times so I enjoy major benefits. The servers here are very knowledgable if you have questions and they’re also fun to to talk to! I’ve gotten several types of meals here: veggie omelette, tacos, a special balsamic quinoa, and today the best of them all: caprese benny. English muffin with sliced tomato, fresh mozzarella, poached eggs, pesto and balsamic. I wanted to faint it was so good. Can’t wait to come back!

I’ve now been here for a weekday breakfast and weekend lunch. Service both times was fantastic! The menu is great and varied with nice vegetarian options. Today I had the caprese sandwich with spinach salad. Amazing ingredients and the ciabatta roll was chewy without being tough. A friend had the roast turkey sandwich with apples and Brie and looooved it. The real treat, though, are the desserts. My table had the carrot cake, coconut cake, salted caramel brownie, seven-layer bar, lemon bar, and red velvet cupcake. One was better than the next! Highly recommend.

This is a pretty nice breakfast/lunch diner on Main Street in Zionsville. From the name and the indescript exterior, you would think this was some hole-in-the-wall hash factory. Of course, this being downtown Zionsville, it’s an upscale space with butcher block tables. There are all the usual breakfast favorites(eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes) but what really excited me was the extensive eggs benedict selection. I ordered the daily eggs benny special(Italian). Instead of Canadian bacon on an English muffin, they substitute pancetta and ciabatta. Mangia! Prices are reasonable($ 8 – 10) and the coffee is hot and fresh. What more can you ask for?

A nice little breakfast place in downtown Zionsville. It is larger than it seems from outside and is nicer than a diner without feeling overly fancy or stuffy. If you go on a Saturday, get their early. They fill up fast with the Farmer’s Market crowd. You pay at the front counter where all kinds of goodies tempt you, so be ready! Their seven layer bars are heaven and everything else looks yummy, too! The service is very friendly and our server told us the special immediately after we were seated. I love that! Then we don’t have to wonder while were are perusing the menu. They have a respectable breakfast menu, but if you don’t like eggs, you are a bit limited. Thankfully they have a lunch menu and at least some of the items are available at breakfast time. I ordered the pork tenderloin with a side of breakfast potatoes and bacon. The bacon was thick, chewy, and perfectly salty. I wish they would have put it on a paper towel or something before serving though, as there was a ton of grease on it. The breakfast potatoes were fine. The let down for me was the tenderloin. It was served on a too-thick and slightly stale bun, which meant that was all you could taste. Sadly, even without the bun, there was no taste. I don’t know if they failed to season their breading this morning or if it is always a bit of a dud, but the tenderloin was completely flavorless. In addition, the silver skin wasn’t removed and it wasn’t pounded out enough, so the meat was tough. I rarely send food back, but I had to with this one. Thankfully my server was very gracious about it and swapped it out for biscuits and gravy. This dish made it worth coming. There was a generous amount of sausage and the gravy was not overly peppery.

Incredibly fresh ingredients. Grilled cheese with tomato and Roasted Turkey with tomato and pesto mayonnaise were both served on thick artisan bread. Fries were fresh and tasty; cole slaw was good but pretty basic. Service was quick and fairly attentive. Servers were somewhat occupied with closing procedures as we arrived at 2:15p and they closed after lunch at 3. It was hard to deny ourselves something from the very attractive choices in the pastry case at check-out, but we did.

We had the pleasure of visiting Rosie’s Place for lunch today. It came recommended and did not disappoint. I was first excited to hear that all of their food(ALL of it… even the salad dressing) is homemade at the restaurant. I was even more excited when we got our food. My Grilled Salmon Salad came in a huge bowl. The salmon, larger than what I would expect for lunch. So good! I love the artichokes and capers flavor with the lemon dressing added over the greens and warm salmon. My fiancé got the breaded tenderloin sandwich. The breading looked delicious. When he gave me a bite I found that it tasted as good as it looked. This may have been our first visit, but it most definitely will not be our last

My neighbor recomended Rosies for brunch but after I saw some of the not so stellar reviews I was not so sure about going. Im glad i did. 11:15am on Friday. We were seated promptly and our server greeted us within seconds. We ordered drinks and when she came back we were ready. I ordered the eggs benny with shaved ham and traditional sauce. My neighbor ordered eggs benny with pork tenderloin and gravy. We both got breakfast potatoes. Love the potatoes! They were potatoes with salt and pepper. No other junk added in. My eggs benny were perfect. Love the shaved ham instead of Canadian Bacon. The hollandaise sauce was perfect. My neighbor loved her pork tenderloin eggs benny. We both got a dessert. I got a piece of pecan pie bar. It was buttery and delicious. My neighbor really liked her turtle cheesecake. It was not my typically inexpensive breakfast this averaged 20 $ each for entrees, soda and dessert with tip. I will be taking my husband so he can give it a try.

I recently visited for breakfast on a weekday morning. It was about 8:00 am, and there were just a few others in the place at the time. My waiter was pretty good, but the food really lacked. FOOD: The dish that I ordered, whose name I cannot recall, included the following: a «big fluffy pancake», hashbrowns or home fries, whichever is cubed, toast, two eggs, and bacon or sausage. Instead of serving this on one big plate, they bring it out on two separate plates. Maybe that’s because those are just the size plates they have, or they think people don’t want their syrup to get on all of the other food. However, I was a two-top by myself, and there would have been no room for a second person’s dishes because of these multiple dishes to serve one meal. To me, if a restaurant is serving breakfast, then they need to get a few things spot on. Those would be eggs and toast. I ordered a sunny side up egg, and it was way over cooked so that the yoke cooked from the bottom instead of being liquid throughout. A sunny side up egg should not be a yellow hockey puck. The recipe that they use for their wheat bread is somehow off. I know that they are supposedly known for their baked goods, but this was a really bad tasting bread. Also, it isn’t traditional toast, it is the thickness of Texas toast. That may be their signature item or something along those lines, but if you are going to serve a thicker piece of bread for toast, then you need to toast it longer as this was gooey in the center. The toast was pre-buttered, but butter was haphazardly applied, and on two pieces, the butter was only on a small area of the toast. The jelly was served in a very small, open metal ramekin or sauce cup, but there was no where near enough to cover both pieces of toast. To note, I do not put jelly on thickly, there seriously was not enough jelly served. I found that the potatoes had very little flavor, and though the bacon was okay, I cannot believe that they would charge what they do for three slices of it had it been ordered on the side. I had wanted bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast. There was no choice for that as a named dish, so I had to get the dish that included the pancake. There was a dish that offered eggs and toast and potatoes, but no meat, then I could order the bacon à la cart. When I asked the waiter if they had the dish that I wanted, he pointed out the meatless dish, and then said I could add the bacon à la cart. I then pointed out to him that that would make the dish more expensive than if I were to buy the one with meat and a pancake. So, of course, that didn’t make sense to do. The pancake was quite thin and unremarkable. Syrup had a strange taste to it, as though it were not pure maple syrup, but rather, a knock-off that contains artificial sweeteners. If you have a breakfast place that charges the prices that this one does, use real maple syrup. I had ordered hot tea, and strangely, it was served in one of those old-style metal creamers that normally sit on a table. When pouring, you have to be very careful to make sure that the lid is up the entire way, or the water just dribbles down the front of the creamer and onto the table. Also, since this serving device is not designed to hold hot water, the water chills way too quickly. The water was not hot enough when served because of this. I feel like they need to serve the assortment of teabags in a smaller container. It was served in a large, heavy bowl that really took up way too much room on the table. And, when another customer arrived and wanted tea, the waiter came and took the bowl away as though they only have one. Just go out and buy a few smaller containers. DECOR: everything is fresh and new, pretty much, so that makes it nice, but I’m there more for the food than the décor. RESTROOMS: The restroom had no paper towels to dry hands on, and that seems like something that would be on a normal pre-opening check list to be completed either the night before or morning of opening. I do have to say, I appreciate that there is now a men’s and women’s restroom, as opposed to just one restroom in this location’s past iterations. PARKING: There is now a side entrance in addition to the main front entrance, which is nice for people parking on the side of the building. However, the day I visited, it was still snowy and icy on the ground, and the parking spaces and part of the sidewalk had not been cleared. It wasn’t fresh snow, it’s just that no one had bothered to take care of this. Use care if the weather is similar when parking. WILL I RETURN? I, like many, many others in Zionsville have been waiting anxiously for our coffee /breakfast spot to return to The Village. I will try it out again in a few months as they continue to work out kinks of a newly opened establishment, to give them a second chance. Next time, I plan to visit with friends so I can hear their feedback on their experience. I hope to return to Unilocal with a much better report in the future!
