Immediately upon entering one feels the tranquility and serenity of this magnificent gallery. Nancy Noël’s paintings span various cultures and dimensions. Consequently, evoking much thought and even inner reflection as you view her beautiful works of art in this elegant setting. Artwork, as well as gift certificates are available for purchase; and during our visit, the staff was helpful, knowledgeable, and cordial. Unfortunately, the gallery will be closing, so I suggest you go soon, as the closing date is uncertain. The paintings and the former Victorian church in which they are displayed are remarkable. Likewise is the artist whom created these gorgeous works of art, as her philanthropic interests touch those in need locally, nationally, and globally. My rating is a strong five stars!

Always come here when I’m in town. The ambience alone is a reason to make a trip. But then again I love old, renovated churches. The food is always good and the staff are friendly. Service is on the slower side but that’s ok if you want a leisurely lunch. Always a good time. :-)

The Noël Sanctuary is a beautiful 1800’s Victorian church serving as the Museum & Gallery for the work of world renowned and local artist Nancy A. Noël(N.A. Noël). The Sanctuary reopened 5 weeks ago after a 6 month renovation to the lower level, restaurant(now Colours) and kitchen. The lower level houses framed and unframed reproductions of varies sizes, custom framing and continuation of her work. The Sanctuary is a breathtaking venue for special events such as private dinners, weddings, receptions, fundraisers, etc. If you’ve been here before recent reopening you’re sure to remember the Sanctuary Café. Now renamed Colours with all new menu and Chef with Excellent food and much appreciated fresh and healthy cuisine. I have long been a fan, purchased many of her prints but always enjoy the opportunity to view her original paintings locally and for free. Many may recognize or even own her earlier works of Amish lifestyle prints or animals from late 70’s — early 80s such as the Rocking Horse or Tea Time if you don’t recognize the name. The Sanctuary showcases her different subjects and series from her love of animals to her love of reaching a higher plane with Angels/Skeletons/Clocks. «The Contract» and«Time» are two of my personal loves however some find it creepy. Many pass by the«old historical church» on Main Street not realizing it’s a beautiful art gallery, museum, restaurant and venue for special events. Step inside to explore for an hour or all day and be sure to allow time for a relaxing, healthy lunch at Colours.

The new restaurant is called Colours. Had lunch in the sanctuary this past week. It was pretty pricey, $ 17 and up, but worth it. A good ladies lunching place. They serve alcohol. The portions are small, but sufficient. Everything is locally grown and fresh. I had the beef over greens and it was good. At our table the other ladies had the chicken and the fish. The fish tasted the best. The bread came with a blue cheese butter with toasted pine nuts, an acquired taste for sure. We had a sampling of desserts, all were a deconstructed form of another dish. Example, there was goat cheese ice cream over beet chocolate cake with a basil purée.(Beet salad) The icecream didnt taste good to us, but the cake we liked. The other three desserts were good, caramalized pineapple, cookie dough with ice cream, and the strawberries and crème brûlée. You can’t beat the beautiful setting. It’s a lovely place for lunch.

This place is cool! It has a serene feeling to it, a calm energy. And the lunch and chocolate were«to die for»! I recommend the individually made chicken pop pies for those of you who can eat dairy and gluten.
