Terrible park park manager is a complete jerk and kicked me out of skate park for having a bmx bike when no one was there. I mean yes I understand if there were people there trying to skate but the skatepark was empty there was no one around

I’ve driven and ridden my bike to this park with my kids on weekends — there’s always plenty of parking and bike rack space and it is easy to get to from the Zionsville Rail Trail. The playground equipment is newer and in great shape, and stuff for the littel kids is set off to one side so they’re not getting trampled by the older kids. There are picnic tables both under shelter and in the shade, as well as honest-to-goodness restrooms(no port-a-johns!) and the highlight for my kids, the splash zone. It is really cool, the runoff from the splash area goes into a creek with a transition zone that allows the kids to play in a sanitized version of a creek. The entire area is very pretty and there are plaques around explaining how they’re reclaiming the prairie. Definitely worth the trip if you’ve got kids, probably even if you don’t!
