If you haven’t been to R&R Crossing, it’s part biker bar and part neighborhood dive bar. It’s a very popular place in the summer for weekend warrior bikers to stop for a bite and a cold one when on a ride since it’s nearly smack in between Milwaukee and Chicago. R&R has their Sunday Summer Cookouts starting in June through the summer. Here’s the drill– you go into the bar and pick out a steak, burger, chicken breast, brat or whatever is available and pay for it. Then you go back outside and grill what you bought in the manner that you like it(grills and implements provided). There usually are side dishes such as beans, biscuits, potatoes, salad, etc. that come with the price of the meal. Oh yeah, I forgot that you’ve probably had a long-neck or two by this time and if it’s a particularly nice day might be working on your 3rd or 4th, who knows? Then it’s time to settle into a seat at one of their picnic tables and listen to live music, usually a Country Rock cover band or if we’re lucky our friend Tallan Noble Latz will light up his amp for our listening pleasure like he did for the Unforgotten Riders benefit held at R&R May 172015. There are usually custom bikes and muscle cars to look at in the parking lot as well as flesh and blood beauties too. Cash is king so bring your greenbacks and leave the plastic money at home.

Your gonna get a very small bar feeling. Always nice people(locals) taking about small town problems or just bullshit conversations. I love this place. Close to my house and stress free. Don’t bring the office talk in here it mostly wouldn’t be welcomed at the bar. Yea it’s a biker bar buts casual and very slow in the winter months.

This is a biker bar between Chicago and Milwaukee. Taking I-94, take exit 1, Russell Rd, and go east about a mile. The bar is at the railroad tracks, on the south side of the road. From there, ride the back roads east/north/west to Uncle Mike’s Highway Pub, in Kenosha, for lunch. :-)
