A small town bar, with that small town atmosphere. The locals all know each other so get loud and joke and laugh which for some is a fun vibe and a way to get to know people, and others might find it annoying. So don’t go here if you are looking for a quite evening to catch up with your family or friends. But do come for Bingo on Sundays! The food is average bar food. Highly recommended the Pickle Poppers for an app! Friendly staff, but the service can be slow depending on the number of people and how often the waitress chats with the customers she knows well. Really affordable, so a great place to go when you don’t feel like cooking at home.

Great food, very prompt service. Very friendly, too! Delicious burgers and kids food! And great tap beer selection!

Pretty dark on the side we sat in. Chicken tender melt was pretty decent, nephew sent his food back so that he could get it instead. Nothing spectacular, and the music selection goes between county and then dancehall electronica.

I’ve been to the Whistling Pickle a couple of times for lunch. It’s been hit or miss. Service has tended to be a little slow. The food has been fair. Their specialty is fried pickles and their Whistling Pickle burger — a burger served with deep fried pickles. It’s slightly above average bar food. The bar/grill has dark décor, with a dark wood ceiling. My last adventure to the Whistling Pickle had me ordering their special of the day, which was a stuffed pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes and gravy, served on Texas toast. It was kind of like a beef commercial, only with pork. The pork seemed a bit dry and overdone, not as tender or as moist as I would have liked. The gravy helped. The mashed potatoes were great. Their burgers are good, but nothing incredibly special. It’s a step above a lot of bar/grills. There aren’t a lot of choices in Zimmerman.

Wasn’t impressed, went in on the 4th of July. Only 4 other people at the time. Wait staff was great but food, not so much. I ordered a flatbread pizza, 10 min later was told they were out of flatbread. So ordered cheese curds, 5 min later told they were out of those too. Everyone else’s food took awhile, and my husband who’s «special» turned out to be a cold sandwich took about a half hour. They should have at least comped my 1 glass of pop, since I didn’t order anything. Would never go back

I’ VEHAD A FEWPICKLESWHISTLEATMEINMYDAY Stopped here for lunch with daughter and baby girl. It’s dark in here, We went to the dining room, and shortly after it started to fill up with other hungry people. It was fairly clean, and daughter said the highchair was much cleaner than the last time she was here. Any hoo, my lunch special of half sand and soup was above average, and her burger was huge! Our server was accommodating, and our meal was served in a timely manner. Decent value too. All the other guests seemed to be having a similar experience. All in all, an average small town bar with an attached dining room. I have a feeling Friday and Saturday nights rock and roll. Certainly not a destination, but a good place to eat if in Zimmerman. The waitress was totally aweful! We came in on Saturday afternoon for a beer and late lunch, the place was pretty much dead, like are crappy waitress. Had to go to the bar twice to get beers because the waitress had to be out back having a smoke. Food was nothing to write home about like the crappy service we were given by the waitress! Wish I would have gotten the gal’s name to warn future customers!

Walked out because of rude treatment before even ordering. Zimmerman is NOT a close journey from home, but I tend to meet my grandmother there about every month. This is a place we had been to a handful of times. This time we looked up there hours online, it said 10:30am. W e had a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. got the the building at 10:40am and all the doors were locked. A woman answers the door and rudely says«We aren’t open yet,» which of course we figured from the locked doors. I said«your website said you open at 10:30.» and she responded with«YEAH, well that is in the winter.» We wasted some time and went back around 11:25am. When we came in, the same woman barely looked at us and said«just sit where ever.» We had a 1 year old with us and thought the high barstool tables would not be appropraite so we went into the dinning room. After getting the chairs off the table she says«OHDON’T SITTHERE!» and insists that we move to the bar. I we moved into the bar and asked if they had any normal height tables because I would need a high chair for the little one. Snotty response: «YAMA’AM, I’m getting your high chair» Me: «No, I’m asking because there is a clear height difference between the high chair and the tables.» Snotty woman: «MA’AM I’m gettting the high chair» Me: «I’m sory, but that isn’t going to work» Snotty woman: «Ma’am, I’m going bring a few of them to stack so they are higher.» Me: «I’m sorry, I’m just not comfortable with that»(for those of you who have young ones who climb and jump and rock, I’m sure you can understand the fear of having a kid in stacked chairs 4 feet off the ground) We left.
