Dr Joel and his staff are the best. They truly care for your pets., His staff also helped my doxie Zeus pass on to Rainbow Ridge in Oct 1^st 2015. They are very patience and loving staff.

Excellent care for my two cats. The doctor always has great answers for any questions I may have. I won’t bring my animals anywhere else.

We had our first appointment with my nearly 10 year old shih tzu last night — at the recommendation of a neighbor.
This sweet dog has been suffering through a series of symptoms, tests, and meds for over a year. I went in with 2 pages of notes to cover the history and include my questions.
The tech was sweet, and the doc let me go through the history and ask away. She was very informative and concluded that Lily (the dog) has been suffering from allergies. She gave me a couple of different options/​directions to pursue. She didn’t push for unnecessary tests or shots. She was simply knowledgeable, patient, and very helpful. (She even sent me home with several pages of information about the dog’s condition.)
When I got home, I compared the line items on the invoice to same services on past bills from our last vet — and we saved at LEAST $ 120 last night!!!
So, not only do I feel like I have accurate answers now, I saved money, and wasn’t pushed to spend more on things that were not truly necessary. PLUS they are fairly close to home — and open in the evenings and on Saturdays which is a necessity with our work schedules!
I will recommend this vet to anyone and everyone in the NW suburbs!

Living in Minneapolis is fantastic… unless you own a ferret and need to find a GOOD vet for them to see. I managed to find not just a GOOD vet for my ferrets — but I found a GREAT vet.
I happily drive the hour+ up to Zimmerman to see Dr. Joel with my ferrets. He is amazing — super knowledgeable, down-​to-​earth, reasonably priced, and very kind. He does like to chit-​chat about this-and-that…so his appointments tend to go long and therefore… he is usually late for his other appointments. I would trust Dr. Joel with any of my furry friends… and he is WELL WORTH the drive…
