5 Star plus — well worth the wait, which only says it is a great place to eat. The food and staff are wonderful and make you feel like family. Best choice in this area for eating out.

If you have the time to stand around waiting 30 minutes for a table then this is your go to place. Food is good, service quick, large amount of potatoes served n friendly owners. I just will not wait in any line for a meal especially when there are plenty of other places to go. Seems to be the Snow Bird hang out!

The best place to get breakfast in the Zephyrhills and Dade City area. If you aren’t someone with a huge appetite you will always end up grabbing a take outbox. The prices for most of the food will make think you traveled back to the 90’s. Call for reservations though because most of the time the place is packed.

This place was PACKED! We had to wait a few minutes but were seated pretty quickly. I had the Reuben with onion rings. Both delicious. My co-worker had the special of the day which was a bbq chicken sandwich, which she enjoyed. The service was fast and friendly and there were definitely a few more things on menu I want to try. I’ll be back for sure!

My in-laws treated me to lunch here and what a treat it was! I had a Mediterranean burger, a lamb and beef blend, it was soooo scrumptious my spouse and I came back a few days later, we just had to have another before we went back home. It’s an engaging décor with lots of memorabilia, and a very friendly staff even though the place was totally packed when we were there. Thanks Mom and Dad G.

We were we were quickly seated onto a table it was very busy there before the amount of being busy we got our food fairly quickly good service and manager came by to greet us and make sure everything was good I felt like a very welcoming place The food was quite delicious they had a great variety of selection of foods I’d like to have my eggs egg whites personally and they had no problem with that at all they had a different varieties of toasts all kinds of breakfast and meats and lunches and dinners for the selection of the menu and it was quite delicious I was not disappointed I did have to ask for some new silverware because it wasn’t clean fully but that’s what happens sometimes there was a fly or two that was on my table that we couldn’t get rid of so that was quite annoying so I’m not going to get it. Because of the Flies in a busy Diner but other than that I was not disappointed and then also the price was really good can’t really beat the price at all if I were to come back into town and get some breakfast I’ll stop here again

The chicken souvlaki platter and their burgers are the best. My daughter loves the chicken tenders and french fries. Customer service is the best around. Owners are warm and friendly. Atmosphere fun and nostalgic. This place is always always busy but a quick turn around time from the time you get there to the time you are seated… order taken and food served. Go here! You wont be disappointed!

I have to say, I rarely stop in here because it is ALWAYS crowded. However, the food is phenomenal! I got the Cuban sandwich. It was wonderful. Service was amazing. I even watched the server next to our table deal with a grumpy old man who spoke to her like absolute crap– and she handled him like a boss. She was gracious and kind. She even patted his back after he yelled at her. This is a great place to eat. Just be prepared to wait a bit for seating!

Had a very good meal here this morning with my lovely wife. We shared a meat lovers 4 egg omelette that was very good. I had the hash browns which were also prepared very nicely and she ordered a side of grits The décor was full of old time memorabilia giving it a very fun ambiance. The service was very prompt and friendly and we both agree that we will revisit this restaurant again in the future. Enough Said!

This is the best restaurant I’ve eaten at in Zephyrhills. I’ve never been disappointed in the food and almost always take food home. Manny is very friendly, even held my grand baby one day. Anytime we have guests we bring them here and they always love it!

I ordered 2 fried chicken dinners to go. The chicken was NOT breaded and had no seasoning. The mashed potatoes had no gravy. The fries tasted like they had been microwaved from the freezer. The biscuits were rolls and the sausage gravy was so thick of you turned the cup over it stayed in place. Worst meal ever. When I called to complain all the manager could say was he didn’t know how that happened and if I came back he would make me another meal. Why would I want another meal when you couldn’t get the first one right? This place is the worst. Do yourself a favor and save your money. The only reason why I have it 1 star was because there was not an option to give it nothing.

Pros; Good food, quick service, friendly employees, ample parking. Cons; Always a line out the door. From time they open to turning off their lights. If you have time to wait n not on a time krunch then give it a try.

Wasn’t expecting much when we first pulled up to meet my friends family. Honestly a great place with awesome service and home cooked food! I had the Country Bennie which consists of biscuits, sausage pattie topped with gravy and cheese with 2 poached eggs on top. It was delicious!

Just ate here for the first time. Sad to say it took us this long to eat here! Good, simple, tradtional food. Eggs are a biggie on the menu(omletes, etc.) So I was a little worried(i’m allergic), but not a problem here and they let me order without eggs since they came with everything. I ordered the corned beef and hash, they threw in some veggies for free for me since I didn’t get the egg. I very much appreciated that! Very attentive wait staff! Holy smokes! Not only was our waiter there checking in on us, but any wait staff walking by checked in on us. Also, I’m assuming the manager or owner(Manny?) Came by and welcomed us and shook our hands. Quick service. We will certainly be back here!

This place only gets better with each visit. Attentive management, friendly service and CLEAN! I highly recommend the Eggs Benedict if you’re in the mood for breakfast or their killer Roast Beef for dinner. It would also take willpower of steel to leave without dessert! Lol I am already planning my next splurge: the fried chicken.

I’m pretty sure all of the table were filled during our dinner at Sunrise, but that didn’t stop the staff from making us feel right at home. I don’t have any complaints at all. The restaurant is a fun little place with old timey décor and a family environment. Everything on the menu is delicious from what I’ve heard. Almost everything is under $ 10 and you get a large main course with three sides. I boxed my leftovers and had enough to eat for a full lunch the next day. We went with my grandparents who are regulars during their winter stay in Florida. The owner, Manny, knew them by name and made it a point to visit with us several time, as well as many of the other customers who were there. To top off the experience, he gave us two free pieces of pie(chocolate mousse and strawberry cheesecake), which was PLENTY for the 7 of us to share. One last thing, when I got to the car, I realized I forgot my leftovers on the table, but when I went back in, the table was already cleared and rest(bussers don’t waste time!). I sadly walked back to the car, but to my amazement, our waitress came running out after me… with my leftovers! Sunrise is an above and beyond type place, and my first 5 star review goes to them.

Okay, I’m bumping my review up to FIVE stars! Not sure why I didn’t do 5 before. The more I’m here, the better it gets. Manny gave us some free dessert this evening and is just as friendly as ever. I had liver and onions. The liver was okay, but everything else was amazingly delicious! Wish we had this place in Ohio where I live! Great job Sunrise!

The husband and I met some friends here for breakfast recently. Anytime we are in Zephryhills early in the morning there seems to be a line out the door — so we decided to give this place a try and find out why all the locals flock to Sunrise. Located on the corner of Gall Boulevard and Geiger Road. There is a private lot but parking spots can be sparse. We managed to finally get a sweet spot in front. Upon arrival we were told there would be about a 15 minute wait(not bad for a Sunday morning around 9:00). There was no room to wait inside but there are some benches out front to wait on your number to be called(no shortage of people watching entertainment that is for sure). When the hostess called us in less than 15 minutes we walked in finding a super busy dining room with music from the 60s booming overhead — you cannot miss the abundant amount of movie posters and memorabilia that adorn the walls(an All American themed eatery). Stained glass chandeliers hang over the booths lining the outskirts of the dining room and yes each table has a checkered cloth. Nothing special its a diner but the food was pretty darn tasty. My husband decided on the Huge Sunrise Breakfast — 3 eggs, 2 sausage links, 2 bacon strips, a slice of ham, home fries, and a biscuit with sausage gravy(I called it the Big Butt Special — that is a lot of food)! Our friends ordered pancakes with fresh fruit and I opted for the biscuits and sausage gravy. Pretty good and authentic. The biscuits are homemade and the sausage gravy was fresh. The manager Manny was very engaging with each and every person that entered. He made sure that our food and service met our expectations. Shout out to Shana for the superb service — our coffee and water was never empty. Since they serve breakfast all day — I was curious about their lunch menu. Our waitress explained that they serve home-style meals(meatloaf, catfish, burgers, Greek salads, burgers and sandwiches) that are made fresh daily. We will definitely venture back to check out their lunch items. All in all a good experience. Open everyday from 7 am to 6 pm and the best perk — they have call ahead seating. Shhh! Don’t tell anyone :)
