My favorite home town bakery. My grandmother would bring me here as a child. My favorite are the sugar cookies that they sell. And for the price, you won’t find a better deal anywhere else.

Was craving some sweet goodies and was driving north on rt. 19. I was thrilled to see this place, and found parking easily and popped into the store. Definitely can tell the place has been in business for 40 years. Quaint set up, with a solid variety of choices. I purchased a Cinnamon Danish and a Bear-claw Danish. Both were tasty and the Bear-claw was awesome! I’ll be going back. They do not take cards, otherwise I would have purchased more. Next time I’ll have more cash on hand :-)

Okay, so doughnuts have been off my radar for awhile. And I really thought, meh, I am not missing much. Until we stopped by Carol’s. Located on sleepy Zelienople Main Street, this place is easy to miss. We opted for cake doughnuts. One chocolate with chocolate icing. One yellow with maple icing. Both were super fresh. The icing was perfection, no skimping here. We gobbled them up like we were starving! Needless to say, I must avoid this little shop at all costs. Their doughnuts are amazing! They have been in business for 40 years, Happy Anniversary! And every thing is baked from scratch. They do it all, from cookies to cakes, pastries and breads. Keep in mind, you shouldn’t wait until late in the day, they can sell out of your favorites.
