Bob Evans

Oaky — we ordered food and it took 45 – 60 minutes for us to get our food. The waitress said it was because the printer in the kitchen wasn’t working. Yet they brought my niece her food and my wife her soup. And everyone else in the place was getting food and checks.
After that, you would think we would get some kind of discount or something… Nope! My 8 year old niece wanted a refill and the waitress informed us the drink wouldn’t be free refill.
All local bob Evans seems to be following this trend.

Shift manager was very pleasant and accommodating seating us near an electrical outlet to recharge my daughters phone. Our waitress, Eve, was helpful with meal suggestions. Had philly cheese steak sandwich — tender and delicious! Prompt with refills, and Togo boxes. Thank you! Thank you!

Bob Evans is our favorite «go to» restaurant. The staff is always friendly and the food is always good

Bob Evans for the most part is pretty standard however I feel this particular Bob Evans lacks in quality and customer service. They never seem really busy which should be a good thing but I think it creates the problem! We visited on 10/​29/​2012 around 8:30pm (they close at 10:00) and there was only 1 gentleman at the bar and 2 other tables with guests as well as us. The waitresses were already starting their «clean up» to get ready for close like moping floors and restocking salt/​pepper shakers etc. The manager was there behind the counter talking to the gentleman sitting there. Our waitress came and took our order then things went downhill from there! Our food came after taking what seemed like a long time based on what we ordered and the amount of people in the restaurant. There were no salt and pepper shakers on ANY of the tables so we had to stop a waitress passing by to ask for some as did the other customers at the 2 other tables. The employees and the manager were all to busy standing behind the counter talking about purchasing cars to attend to the few tables needing service. The conversation was very loud and somewhat annoying while trying to have a dinner with my family. Our waitress brought our bill but then never came back again to check to see if we needed or wanted anything else. When ready to leave we had to go to the counter and ask for a carry out box as did a customer from another table. I’m not sure when the last time was that I had to go to the counter to request salt and pepper as well as a carry out box! The food was what I would call just ok but nothing screaming «come back again»!! I have given this particular Bob Evans many chances because I like to keep my business in the part of town it is in and would like to see it remain there for the people it employs however I feel like it has run out of chances. Serious improvement is needed starting with the manager and working down to the servers! Bob Evans you CAN do much better!
