U-Haul

Unfortunately I can’t put my review on the Uhaul website because I lost our order # and I can’t find the Uhaul on Unilocal at 4^th avenue, so keep in mind this review is for the Uhaul on 4^th avenue, not 32^nd St.
Truck worked fine, car trailer was fine, we packed up Friday and Saturday and arrived in Yuma from CA Saturday night. We were originally told by the 29 Palms CA Uhaul to drop the truck off on Sunday. But when we called Yuma Sunday morning and asked if we could deliver it Monday instead so we could have time to unpack and find a weigh station, a Yuma Uhaul employee said, and I quote, «Oh, it doesn’t matter. You actually have a couple days to return it, you don’t have to return it the next day. Whatever day works for you.» So we delivered it Monday morning, meaning we had the truck a total of 4 days, only 1 day past what the 29 Palms CA Uhaul told us. I assumed the Yuma Uhaul had a different policy, so I went with their’s.
Unfortunately when we dropped the truck off, a different employee came out to greet us and said we owed him $ 200 as a late fee for not delivering the truck on Sunday. $ 200. For ONE DAY OVER. Needless to say, I am outraged because we were told one thing, and then they dug into our pockets and took an insane amount of money for only having the truck an extra day. I will not rent from Uhaul again. Too many things can go wrong when moving, especially a military move that requires you to weigh the truck when empty, and weigh again when full. We moved on the weekend meaning 99% of weigh stations were closed so we drove around town on Sunday trying to find an open one, taking time out of unpacking. The Yuma Uhaul was completely unforgiving in this matter, and we were broke the first week we lived in Yuma because of that. Not a very good welcoming.

Called around to find a car trailer & this was the only place in town. Richard & Tami had us hooked up & loaded within 15 mins. Outstanding service & recommend business with them to anyone!!!

Wow, what great customer service! We land at Yuma Airport and no cabs were to be found. We called Tammy and Richard the owners, and 5 minutes later they showed up with smiles on their faces to pick us up. They obviously love what they do, they love Yuma, and they made the start of our long ugly hot move… super enjoyable! We would highly recommend this place for moving or storage.
