Cracker Barrel was packed so we walked across the street for breakfast. It was tasty but too much grease was used. Even on my egg-beaters omelet. It’s ok if there’s no where better to go or if you’re not watching your arterial health. Staff was awesome though.

Canned slop. I had a business lunch here on a Monday afternoon, as it was convenient to the hotel. The diner was not crowded, yet the waitress took several minutes before coming over to take our drink order. It was another wait for her to return and take our food order. Very impersonable demeanour. She couldn’t even spell the company name when asked by another customer; the hamster was working overtime trying to decide between«Pennies» or «Penny’s». The older woman refilling coffee was far more pleasant. I ordered the«Rockin Ruben» with onion rings, a side of chilli cheese fries and a vanilla shake. Very little meat in the Ruben; it was like eating greased bread. Onion rings were mediocre; nothing special to write about. Chilli cheese fries were nas-Ty. Chilli was not just canned, but the cheapest, worst tasting canned variety I’ve ever had the displeasure of eating. They put pre-shredded cheese on top that didn’t melt on the cold fries and chilli. Raw diced onion was liberally strewn on top of that. Food servings were small. The vanilla shake was probably the only decent thing I ordered, but they bagged me ~$ 5 for it. My lunch came out to $ 19. Plus, I reluctantly gave the waitress an undeserved $ 2TIP. Also noticed they use the microwave a lot.

Came here on a whim because my friend saw a shiny building and wanted to explore more. This is a small diner that looks like a subway car with 50’s décor inside. The server was friendly and service was good. I got the sea dog which is a long piece of battered fish on a hot dog roll topped with lettuce and tomatoe, tartar sauce on the side. I opted for the tater tots covered in chili cheese and onions. The fish was cooked perfectly nice and flakey on the inside. The chili cheese tater tots were excellent. Unfortunately my friend’s meal was not so great. Her meatloaf was hard and dry, looks like they gave her the end pieces and they were burnt. She also had chili cheese tater tots which she liked. Overall a good place to eat, would come again.

It’s a diner. It’s cozy and a bit loud and everything moves fast. The prices are reasonable. My food was ok but the biscuits and gravy were better than what I ordered. I should have looked up on the specials board saying they had eggs Benedict. Then I probably would order that instead of eggs and ham and some really boring hashbrowns and not hot wheat toast. The cinnamon roll is fun to start with. And other than giving us a dirty fork service is good.

The food at Penny’s is awesome, the environment is full of energy, but the biggest thing to keep an eye on is your pricing on your ticket for the food. On almost EVERY occasion I have gone, I have been charged more than what the menu said. I haven’t really been back since. I don’t think they are cheaters but mistakes do happen.

I went here twice in the weekend while I was in town and enjoyed it both times. I had the breakfast skillet and an omelette with almost everything in it. Both were delicious. The coffee was good. And the service was very good too!

Quick service and yummy food. If I lived in Yuma this would be my go to place for breakfast and probably lunch or dinner. Mureiya(sp?) J0, our waitress, was all smiles and good humor and always checking in to see if we need anything more or how everything was. I asked for toast well bothered, like to the edges, and she said she would smother it. Smother it she did! Many times I ask for well-buttered toast and all I get is a little dab in the center. Myrna, the hostess was also a cheery welcome to the diner. We sat at the counter next to her register and she was very friendly. We had a good time as well as good food.

In 2010 I got an incredible Rueben here so I thought would stop by again today on my way to Phoenix to pick up a Rueben to go. Not sure what happened. It was something I wouldn’t have eaten had I not been hungry. The flavors didn’t mesh and it was drenched in mayo. Oh yeah I just realized part of the reason why it was tasteless!!! It was drenched in Mayo! Hello! It’s supposed to have thousand island dressing on it not mayo! Was there cheese on it? I don’t know I couldn’t taste it. I GOT A CORNEDBEEFANDMAYO sandwich not a Rueben! UGH The fries tasted like grease.

I almost always stop here when in Yuma. I love the neighborhood feel and warm welcome from the staff. Never rushed and always prepared the food to my liking. One of the best things is all the windows, it’s a great way to wake up to breakfast.

I like the 50’s diner look. The food is good, nothing that makes it stands out though. But everyone is always friendly. I get either the sausage and eggs, or the club. Sausage and eggs, the eggs are always right, it makes me mad when they are running, so thank you for that, wish there were more hashbrowns, never get enough. The club is good, last time I got some tater tots with it. Busy on the weekends and when the snow birds are in town. Since the new general manager got here, seems the property is a lot better.

Stopped by for a milkshake. They hands scoop the ice cream. They tasted great and were a good price. It was quick service. Most important, I left with two happy boys. I highly recommend this place for a great milkshake.

First time here. Have admired the cute chrome fifty diner look for several years. The food was just ok. Unfortunately, as I left I was witness to several of the cooks on a back deck smoking and one spit off the deck before he saw us. Very gross. Very nice waitress.

1am Sunday night, needed to eat and wasn’t up for drive thru. Stopped in here. Flys everywhere… or sure seemed like it… perhaps just the couple that found me appealing… the place appeared clean. Service great! Eggs cooked perfectly! Ah but don’t order anything that comes with country gravy… flour and pepper, thick and unappealing. The Yuma breakfast would have been awesome if the gravy was worth eating. 2 eggs, meat(I had sausage patties) hash browns and biscuits smothered in gravy… sounded like the perfect late night hunger cure. Definitely worth stopping in… if for no other reason then they now how to fry an egg lol. Stay away from the country gravy!

super small diner but the burgers are great and they stay open late enough that you can grab some after you hit the bars it’s kinda low key not many people go here cause they’re here they have a bad rep with the waitresses and how long there food takes but I’ve never had an issue with either. they aren’t super cheap but they have good quality do a home town restaurant

Walking in you smell the bacon and eggs at 9am! It’s a nice place. The atmosphere is fun and lively of the 50s. The coffee is always fresh, my server Mo, came to the table as soon as the cup was half full and filled it with fresh and hot coffee. I had the 2×2×2 breakfast. I got 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, and 2 bacon slices. The pancakes were delicious! My eggs were cooked so perfect… I’ve never had perfect over medium eggs… kudos to the cook! This place was great! you have to check it out.
