I’ll start off by saying that my review is for their customer service as I was trying to book a block of rooms. I called two weeks ago to reserve the block of rooms for my wedding in April. My information was taken down and was told that the lady that handled room blocks would give me a call in the next day or two. A week later I hadn’t heard anything so I called back. I was told that the room block lady would give me a call. She did call me that night and informed me she had a contract already put together and she was waiting for her manager to return from out of town the following day to get approval. ANOTHER, week later I still had not heard anything. I called once again. I was told that the same lady would give me a call. Keep in mind, I am waiting on this information to complete my invitations, so I was definitely upset when I received a call two days later and was told they already had an event going on. Like really? It takes two weeks to tell me you can’t do a room block because you have an event that was probably booked before I even called the first time? I have worked at a hotel along with restaurants and am now at an accounting firm. The hotel business is all about customer service, which I something I know very well. There are BIG customer service problems here. I am not upset that they couldn’t do the room block for me. I am upset because it took them numerous phone calls from me and two weeks to tell me this. I will not be recommending this hotel to any of my wedding guests.

Although this hotel appeared to be clean I have to wonder after observing an incident at breakfast this am. The attendant this am was Robert for both desk and breakfast. a family had gotten up from a breakfast table and Robert walked by and lightly wiped the table with a small towel. No spray disinfectant whatsoever. Then he put the towel in his pocket. During breakfast he was busy changing out coffee etc, the towel was still hanging out of his pocket or had it in his hand. I can just imagine what goes on with that multi use towel. Needless to say I could not eat. Bed was bumpy and lumpy, shower has no pressure and the shower has no areas to put your personal soap, shampoo except on the tub corners. One of our windows was broken so was not able to open it. Have a reservation to stay here on our way back from vacation but will not risk another sleepless night.

If it was possible to give this hotel a lower ranking I would. 4th of July weekend, We booked two rooms that had defective AC units, one would leak and the other would not turn off or allow the temperature to be adjusted. And both of the mircowave ovens would not work and the staff would not allow the repairman to fix or replace them. When we spoke to the staff on hand about our concerns we where spoken to disrespectfully and acused of things we did not do. We will be filing a formal complaint to their corporate office and to the franchise owner. It is my recommendation, if you do not have to stay here, do not.

Having waited too long to make my reservation in Fernandina for the weekend of Concourse De Elegance(I was apparently the only one in the state that didn’t know about this), I was left with no choice but to stay out here. While not a fan of this chain, this property impressed me. As soon as we drove up, I could see that this used to be a Country Inn. that’s a plus. Small, but nice cozy lobby, decent breakfast area, well maintained, and feeling more like a Hampton than a BW. It’s obvious that’s what they are going for, so good job, mgmt! to my surprise, it’s a BW «PLUS» property, and the name was certainly earned. our room was fine, with two exceptions: 1. a/c was unacceptably loud. 2. comforter was a dark brown color, and I have very little confidence that they wash the duvet after every guest. I slept carefully, making sure to keep the sheet between it and myself all night. not a good feeling to have to concentrate when you sleep. I saved the big negative for last, and will try to keep this short. After reservation was made(directly with hotel, with an agent who was much nicer than she was efficient), I received a call the next morning. They said there was an error made, and my room would be $ 250, not $ 199 as already confirmed. We had a few words; I had to get forceful; they reluctantly caved and honored my confirmed rate. Not professional. Not nice. Should have never happened. Corporate, take note.

My review is based solely on finding a comfortable place to stay the night. Don’t care about gyms and other things. We were pleasantly surprised. Very clean rooms, very comfortable bed and pillows, quiet, great price, pet friendly and a better breakfast than most. Five stars by the standards we look for. Friendly staff.

What a beautiful hotel and for a great price! They accept pets also. It was late and couldn’t find a nice hotel for the family for a reasonable price in Jacksonville and then we stumbled across the gem. Staff was so friendly, hotel first class.

Welcome to Value Town. Prices here were cheap compared to staying in the Amelia Island area, and I ended up just driving the half an hour down the state highway each way everyday. I’m glad I found it on the Internet, because it looks kinda dubious in its location behind a Burger King and Raceway gas station. The building is relatively new, service is friendly and accommodating, and the location next to both I-95 and the aforementioned state highway to Amelia Island are all strengths. An oft-overlooked point is that the Internet(wired and wi-fi) all worked well, no complaints about that. The bed was decent though pillows were flimsy and uncomfortable. There was a strange smell in the hallway throughout my stay, and the humidity in my room got funky, but maybe this is just a Florida thing? Breakfast was OK – my advice is to just get a piece of sausage and leave.

We had to come into town rather last minute for a funeral, we had several families staying and this hotel was chosen mainly due to price point. The hotel was clean with good beds. The staff was pleasant. I have 2 reasons I won’t rate this hotel higher the 1st is we had a handicapped relative, who stayed in the handicapped room. In order to accommodate the wheelchair it was necessary to move the beds in the room. I’m not sure what the requirements are to qualify as a handicapped room but the designer has obviously never traveled with or assisted anyone in a wheelchair that requires any assistance. My other bit of feedback would be there is a need to mop your elevators or check them during the day, syrup was spilt in the morning and tonight the smell and stickiness still remained. I would stay here again as I mentioned the staff was very pleasant and the rooms clean, though I do hope they will do more to make their handicapped accommodations more appropriate. There is more to a handicapped room than just the restroom.

Super pretty and very nice hotel with an unbelievable price. Room was clean and roomy. The bed was comfortable and wifi fast. The air conditioner was an actual wall thermostat which was pretty cool. The hot breakfast was really good. I liked the scrambled eggs the best but my niece liked the waffles. Only negatives was the hot tub was colder then the pool so that was pretty disappointing… But other than everything was awesome! Definitely recommend staying here!
