I have heard of this restaurant and so my girls, mom and I thought we would give it a try. We were greeted with, Hello do you have a reservation? So, since we didn’t have a reservation we could sit outside on some cold benches or at the«bar». neither would work with 2 kids under 3. She said she did not know how long the wait was for a table. so with that we left. Lunch reservations… really? Guess my little ones and I don’t need to go back, especially when they offer no wait time and seating that obviously wouldn’t work for us.

This is a small place which is fine. It’s decorated for the season with ornaments on Christmas trees that you can buy. It was a fun place to sit and look around at all the stuff. We sat right in the corner with all the different types of fudge. I think there were five or six different flavors of fudge. And then of course a bunch of other chocolates and treats. This is a sandwich place. All different types of sandwiches and salads. I substituted the pasta salad with a garden salad. I don’t think it was a $ 2.50 side salad but it was good. The Sanfransican was the closet thing that represented a burger and it was pretty good. The produce(lettuce tomatoes etc) were all fresh. The chef salad had a good amount of meat in it however it was a large bowl of greens. The greens way overpowered the ingredients of the salad. I know… it’s a salad but everything should compliment each other. And this salad didn’t. The medley salad came with pasta salad chicken salad and potato salad. It was extremely salty. Almost to the point of send it back inedible. And the service was so-so. It was fine. Nothing great. But it was fine. They post right on their menu that the food takes a while to get out so be patient and look around at all the decorations.

The food is excellent, service outstanding, but it’s the themed décor that made this a unique and transcending experience. Food: My daughter and I both had sandwiches with potato salad. The bread was very fresh, which perfectly complimented the Chilantro(with an «h» per the menu for the green chili and cilantro filling) Chicken and perfectly seasoned roast beef fillings that were incredible. The potato salad was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We split a sundae. Dr. B’s Java RX was the best ice cream I have ever had! Service: Very welcoming and friendly staff. Our server was attentive and professional. He timely anticipated our need for beverage refills and clearing our plates. One of the employees was kind enough to answer our questions about the history of the building*. Ambience: The place was decorated for the season with charming displays of matching table pieces, candies and desserts, stained glass windows, vines draping the windows, and cute floral displays. I am looking forward to my next visit and experiencing the seasonal holiday tansformation. * Be sure to take a look at the Historical Marker out front(and exterior architecture) noting this was originally a church.

I love this place! When my sis and Mum come to visit we always go to lunch at Granlund’s. I usually get the chicken salad sandwich with either potato salad or pasta salad. My sister loves the vegetarian sandwich and gets it every single time. We usually get the lemon cake for dessert. It has a lovely tea room atmosphere and we love the decorations for each season.

I had never been here and always wanted to try it. Did not disappoint. My neighbor and I had a lovely lunch here. The food was tasty. A bit pricey but not bad. All the lovely items they have for sale in the place are quite lovely, but quite pricey.

So I’ve been here 3 times now the first time I dined in the second and third time I called in a order to go, every time I have gotten the same thing soup and salad and I have always gone on a Wednesday when their soup is chicken wild rice. The first time I went the soup and salad portion was a pretty generous portion I was very pleased! The second time it was a tad smaller which I understand it was to go sometimes portions are smaller when you order to go. Unfortunately when I got home it wasn’t the chicken wild rice soup I had been waiting for it was their vegetable soup still not a bad choice though. On my 3rd visit the portion was even smaller than the second time but the salad was great as always the soup was ok something seemed off it just didn’t seem as homemade as it normally has in the past. Overall this is a super cute place for a ladies lunch just wish the portions were more consistent.

I just found this place through Unilocal while searching for a place to hold a baby shower. Unfortunately they had just closed for the day when I called, but a very nice manager was kind enough to stay for a few minutes to let us have a peek of the place. Very kind manager and staff kindly showed us around and needless to say we were very impressed and cannot wait to plan our shower in this adorable place!!! Menu offers amazing choices. Anxious to eat here!

My new favorite hometown eatery! Went in April for my birthday throughly enjoyed the food, the server and the restaurant itself! Have been twice since with the Hubs… excellent! Now yesterday there were ten of us… yes Fathers Day! Had reservations, sat us right when we came in. Only a few other customers that late in the afternoon. Drinks served quickly, orders taken. Now I realize the dishes are cooked to order… which was fine with us… we perused the shop… all decorated for Spring, then the food came… lasagna, roast beef with chilies sandwich, chicken salad with cilantro… and mine. the Sundae Salad, three tomatoes each with a scoop of chicken salad, scoop of pasta salad and a final scoop of potato salad on a lettuce bed. The taste was lovely… creamy potato salad, chicken salad had nuts for a nice crunch… and the tomatoes were sweet and firm… not mush from sitting in a frig! Waitress attentive, everyone chowed down. Good food and desserts, lovely atmosphere, so relaxing! I’m so coming back!

Good stuff first: The ambiance is great here! Decorations & music were just delightful. Our table raved about the soup, sandwiches & ice cream! The downside was the service. Food didn’t come out together and we were there about 2 hours — for a party of 7. When we arrived, nobody else was in the back. A four top was sat 15 mins later, but was served 1st& left before us. I don’t know if we had the same server. Seems logical. The salad: dry, with an over abundance of mandarins. Waiter seemed MIA. We requested a pitcher of iced tea to do our own refills. One sandwich was delivered after most of us finished eating. We all had deserts & the same thing happened. The hot fudge sundae arrived after most finished eating. Leaving: checks weren’t separated, and the waiter had to perform long hand math to spilt checks — which ultimately wasn’t correct. But we didn’t care, Close enough was fine for us. Verdict? Undecided. I plan to go back & am hopeful this is a one-off.

We went there for a child’s birthday party. .NOT a kid friendly place. They couldn’t do separate checks for a large party. The food was disappointing, didn’t taste good and was very heavy. Our server was nice and accommodating. The décor is beautiful to look at, items are available for purchase, but are overpriced.

Honestly, this place is Amazing. Went in for lunch, the staff was extremely nice. I enjoyed the Ambiance. I couldn’t control my self(I love dessert)! The 1st thing I did was walk to the chocolate section, I had a couple pieces of chocolate before I finished my lunch. Oh and I also ordered dessert, walnut bar. Everything was superb…

Went to Granlund’s a few weeks late for Mother’s day lunch with my mom… she wanted to go here. She made reservations as she said it’s a small place that can get crowded. I’d never heard of Granlund’s, didn’t know anything about its’ history and can’t say I’d ever been to Yucaipa so I didn’t know what to expect. But it was to celebrate Mother’s day so it was whatever my mom wanted. She has good taste so I didn’t think it would be disappointing. When we arrived, we were seated immediately with our reservation; however, it wasn’t crowded but that quickly changed. There were tables for large groups and then smaller tables. Not a lot of seating but enough to make it cozy. First let me say that the inside is so darling! The for sale decorations are so different and fun. I so enjoyed the atmosphere and that I could shop while seated. The menu items looked great but I went with the quiche that mom recommended and I wasn’t disappointed. The food was delicious and, as we were there to chat and celebrate a belated Mother’s day, our ice tea glasses were kept full. The staff was nice, checked in on us often but not annoyingly so and were friendly. The desserts looked delicious! I settled on a slice of lemon cake and mom had a multi-layered orange cake that tasted like an Orange-sicle. It was HUGE! Although I was full from lunch, I managed to eat my cake and a taste of mom’s. She opted for a box for the rest of hers. After, we wandered around the store to check out the darling items. So many neat things! We purchased some cute items that we couldn’t leave without and paid for it all at the door. I don’t live in the area and never thought Yucaipa was a place to go but I’d definitely go back to Granlund’s to try other dishes and, definitely, the dessert.

My first time to eat at Granlund’s was 12 years ago and I just ate there last week. We love to bring family and friends to Granlund’s! It is so adorable on the inside and the food is delicious. Mine and my husbands favorite is the southwest melt it is a hamburger on delicious homemade jalapeño cheddar bread with avocado and tomato. The potato salad and pasta salad are both made in house and delicious! I appreciate so much their consistently, over 12 years the menu items have not changed, I love this! The chocolate is delicious, not waxy like See’s! The ice cream sundaes are amazing! The servers are always friendly!

So, here’s the scenario: Went with my mother and a bunch of her friends for a fun ‘tea.’ Didn’t know what to expect and was more than pleasantly surprised! What an amazing little gem that I would go back to time and again if I lived nearby. As it was I drove from Burbank to get there, and it was well worth it! Now granted we went there in the beginning of the holidays, so the place was totally decked out; to the point of me walking around taking pictures I could post! Beautiful decorations! But that was just the beginning: the food was amazing! And the service: even better! We had 9 women over the age of 60 and then some, who were, to say nicely, a bit demanding. Our waitress was an awesome woman who took care of us above and beyond, which made the experience all that much better. And, Nancy the owner was there to help at an instance. I recommend going out of your way to check this place out, because you will have an amazing meal while being treated like royalty.

Cute little restaurant that is hidden in the historic part of Yucaipa. The food is decent and the ambiance is nice. They change their décor with the seasons and holidays which is think is neat. I got the brioche and salad — quite yummy.
