This man saved my life. I’m not exaggerating that or saying that to make him feel good.
I had been seen from 2007 – 2012 with various «doctors» (I use the term in quotes because apparently many of the «doctors» on a military installation are merely PAs). I was told I was too young to have a heart problem, that I was just experiencing panic attacks, and that I needed Zoloft. I had holter monitors at least twice.
When seeing Dr. Chin in February 2012, we initially didn’t find anything remarkable. In fact, the first couple tests didn’t show much. However, I kept insisting there was something wrong and he was WILLING TO HELP ME. We finally figured out the problem as he decided on the final test – another holter monitor. I’m glad he did this for me. Within 6 weeks of those results, I was placed on minimum work duty, and immediately scheduled for an ablation consultation and subsequent procedure.
Since then (1June2012 – day of ablation procedure), I have slowly recovered and managed all time runnning bests! (Time, distances, miles ran…) And, I achieved, for the first time, a 90.3 (out of 100) on the Air Force PT test.
I owe Dr. Chin much more than I could ever repay him. I am thankful he decided on this career path.
