La Fuente is one of my all time favorite restaurants. I’ve been coming here for a very long time. The food is priced well, ingredients are fresh, & I love the authentic Mexican decoration. They have murals on the walls which are very well painted, and they always decorate for Christmas and for other major holidays. The salsa is great, and the chips are thin and crispy and hot. If you’re having a rough day, this place is guaranteed to cheer you up. Most of the servers don’t really speak too much English, but that’s how you know it’s authentic, right? In any case, they are very friendly and eager to please. We see the same servers every time we come in, so they really know the menu. I also love that during happy hour they have a really great price on the mini bottles of Corona in an ice bucket. They will also make fresh guacamole at your table. The cheese sauce is to die for(white Mexican queso)! I would also recommend the lime tilapia entrée, it’s often on the daily specials board at the entrance.

La Fuente is our favorite Mexican restaurant! Free chips, great salsa, huge margaritas, what else could you ask for? The service is always great, the servers call you amigo/a and they always ask how everything was at the end.

Great, authentic Mexican Food! The Mixed Fajitas are awesome, as well is the beef tacos! They have the best chips and salsa. I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed(coming from a VERY picky eater)! :-)

Dr. Pepper was almost flat, chimichanga was soft, and beans were more of a paste(no beans).

My husband and kids like this spot a lot better than I do. The people are friendly and the service is good. I usually order a combination of enchiladas and tacos. I am not a fan of the tamales or chimichangas. I am also not a fan of the brown sauce that they put on a lot of the items. Perhaps its too authentic for me.

My favorite Mexican food anywhere. Great service. I have had Mexican food in Mexico and California often and I like their food better.

I had a taste for Tacos and remembered seeing this place on a regular basis when I have shopped at a nearby Kroger. I decided to stop in for a a carryout. I was pleasantly surprised with the inside. It is colorful, has a bar and a broad menu. I ordered 3 Ala-Cart tacos. 2 beef and one chicken. When the order arrived it came with chips on the side. The hard shell tacos were a bit soggy when I got home but they are probably best eaten when made. The chips where also not as I expected. It was if they were sitting around for a while. There was not much of a fresh taste to them. The salsa was excellent and was the best part of the meal. I will visit again and next time sit down for another try. I am also curious about the Margaritas and Fish tacos.

I’ve been coming here since I moved to Ypsi in 2007 and I love it. Even after I’ve moved away, this is the one place I eat when I’m back to visit. Probably my favorite Mexican restaurant ever. Staff is fun and food is fast and great.

The atmosphere is quite festive-looking and the décor is lively and colorful. The proportions are pretty large and satisfying and seem fitting for the price. I used to quite like the food here, but it depends on what you order. The sides, including the rice and beans, while filling, don’t make you leave feeling great. The meat/steak is dry and hard and not tender at all. Service is good, and food comes out pretty quickly. Waiters are friendly but not quite interactive as you would wish. A good place to come a few times but not someplace that keeps you coming back repeatedly.

Food was fairly good, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, and I probably would have given them five stars if the waitstaff would have at least pretended to be happy. Most of them were sitting and chatting in a booth while we were there. I’ll still go back when I am wanting more authentic Mexican though.

My local Mexican joint. A good place for lunch and dinner deals. A large selection of items on the menu, and cheap drinks. I’ve come here many times for a quick bite if me and the lady don’t want to travel outside of the township, and also want some good Mexican food. The drinks have a good amount of alcohol, so you aren’t getting fake margaritas. Service here is on the mark, haven’t had a bad experience. Check it out!

Excellent food, service and atmosphere! They’ve had the same staff all five years we’ve been going there. Often the staff is singing along to the music in the background. Awesome A+

I am really amazed by the bad reviews on service because I think the service is VERY good. I used to live 2 miles away so I’ve been there a lot since it first opened. The owner /manager is a younger guy who is always working and singing.(Forgot his name) He’d see me walk in and right away, I’d have a tall draft Dos Equis and a shot of his home brand of tequila put down in front of me. So give ‘em a chance. The food is good. Nothing to knock your socks off. Just good and fresh. Chile Relleño Is tasty but ask to drain it first. Nachos Santa Fe is a lot for several people. If ordering for yourself, there is a smaller version. Just ask. Chimichangas are ok but got smaller recently. Their burritos are about four pounds. Plan on left overs. So skip worrying about reviews on service. Yes, on Cinco de Mayo they are busy. So are all Mexican restaurants. Maybe you have to carry your check to the counter to pay. Big deal. So does the Coney Island Just go with the flow and enjoy.

Delicious salsa and cheese dip! My main dish was also incredible. I got a tamal and potato burrito. Fun friendly waiters also. Very nice evening spent here.

This is my second time here, and both times we got the worst service. I don’t know why, but it feels like they’re understaffed. Our meal was drought-ridden as a Mexican desert. We asked for water three times(twice with our waiter and once with another) and finally got it with our bill. The food is ok. Not great, but better than frozen microwave burritos. If you like tamales as much as me, don’t order them here. They are barely passable as one of the best Mexican dishes. Here, they smother them with sauce, cheese, and beef. Unless you can retain water like a camel, don’t come here.

Dined in twice, carried out once. The dining room is cute, very festive. Service is pretty fast. The portions are plentiful & satisfying, but not out of this world. The sides(beans, rice) aren’t very flavorful, but the main dishes I’ve tried are usually well seasoned and tasty. Carry out was less successful. We complained about our order not being packed correctly and were rudely told«this isn’t taco bell» as they tried to make excuses for how we were mistaken about items missing from the package, even though they did oblige and correct the error. It was unnecessarily poor customer service and I’m not sure the quality of food warrants another visit, but it is still a fun place in the neighborhood for a margarita.

We love La Fuente, we live in Ann Arbor and often leave town just to come to La Fuente. We have a million closer options, but this is always our favorite. The food is great, the service is fantastic, and the drinks are big and strong. The owner is almost always at the cash register and a very gracious and sweet person. The waiters are probably my favorite waiters too. They are always attentive and sweet, they let you move as fast or slow as you like. Most Mexican food has been americanized to fit our tastes, but they do a great job balancing traditional and american mexican. The interior is adorable, they are constantly decorating and keeping things fresh. They put a lot of effort into the place and you can feel/see it. *Also, the waiters many times are singing songs in spanish while working and I love it. Its just a very cheerful place with tasty food!

I love the atmosphere at La Feunte. The staff is friendly, and fast! We visit this establishment frequently, and often get our food to go. The menu offers a lot of options for me and my wife, as well as our 2-year old. He loves Tacos and beans! Chips and Salsa are always overflowing, and we’ve never had a problem.
