Been here before and food was good for price, last few times quality was not as good and seemed a little more expensive, might try again but not anytime soon.

Okay, so let me first say that they just squeaked out that 4th Star. My prior review almost a year ago was 2 Stars(Really I would have given them a 1.5 but it wasn’t an option.) However, things have changed in the year that we took off from dining here and I’m happy to say things have improved. I would say it’s now a solid 3.5 Stars. First, they made some changes to the menu, it no longer has the inedible Alfredo dish I had last time so that made me feel better instantly. The Mac and Cheese with a Twist was pleasantly better then expected. The BBQ Sandwich was also pretty good. But what we used to come here for was for the Turkey. Before our servers used to tell us how it was homemade everyday and it was always delicious. Once again it fell slightly short, our server couldn’t even tell us whether it was still homemade or not. It was good but it wasn’t great. A little dry and under-seasoned but still better than the last time. I really wish they could get this back to where it was before their remodel… Will be back again but not something we will make a weekly event like prior to the remodel…

First time here with my boyfriend. Over all, my experience was okay. The waitress greeted us right away and took our drink order and food order. My chocolate chip pancakes weren’t the best. The tasted very over cooked(and dry). The waitress did not come back to check on us. She dropped the check off, and that was the only other time I saw her. I would give this place another try, maybe.

A cute place with good food, friendly staff, and prices that are just slightly too high.

Yuck! My husband and I came here for lunch and I had the Thanksgiving dinner meal. I expected gravy to be on my mp’s, but gravy literally drowned everything on the plate and it was nasty. My husbands meal was also gross and we just don’t get why this place is always so packed. Won’t be back.

Great food, great service. Our server was very nice and patient, I had no idea what I wanted. I ended up getting the pj&j burger with sweet potato fries and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the chicken and artichoke pasta, it was okay. The canned artichoke hearts tasted a bit too vstrong of vinegar and the dish lacked any of the lemon flavor that the menu stated was there. But overall it was great and I recommend it.

We used to love going here but the last few trips have gradually been worse and worse. The little things really add up when they are consistent week to week. Burnt toast here and there, a soggy egg, etc. Whatever, things happen and I’d be willing to still give 3 + stars but recently they would not honor a coupon offer that was not expired. Eh… that’s cool… there are other breakfast options all around this area.

Harvest Moon Café doesn’t take reservations, but they will let you call ahead to be sure that a table is waiting for you when you get there. There are booths and tables. We went for two tables pushed together for our group of six. It was a bit crowded with all the displays and condiments already on the tables plus our dinner dishes, but we made it work. We had a coupon that came in the mail. Hubby and I each got our own prime rib dinner and there was enough for a second meal the next day. It was a huge slab of beef with a baked potato and a salad. They also have meat loaf, sandwiches, burgers and pasta. The only negative was that our table had five awesome meals and one that was unfortunately inedible due to too much pepper. The waiter immediately sent that back for something else. An unfortunate experience for my friend but I think she still liked the restaurant very much. There are a lot of dessert choices. Hubby had a very nice looking slice of chocolate cake but now that I have the strict diet I didn’t even hope that I could have one of the desserts. Besides, I was already full of delicious prime rib! Our waiter and a trainee kept checking on us. We had plenty of attention during our meal. Our waiter was even kind enough to stand up on a chair in order to take a photo of our group. What a great time we had that night. Hubby asked if we could go there again on prime rib night. Sure, why not? I’d go back any time.

Just came from there after breakfast. The food was good and portions were generous, but the service left something to be desired.

Oh my goodness is all I must say about Harvest Mood Café’!! I mean that in a good way! There were 6 of us all friends, having dinner there. We met from 3 different areas to go to this restaurant which was in the middle for all of us. I have several photos I hope you like them. The other couple even had a coupon for 9.99 for prime rib dinner! Isn’t that crazy? It was very good too! They said the prime rib was very moist and tasty, along with baked potato and a house salad! They had an excellent meal. The other couple, the woman had the prime rib as well and the husband had meatloaf dinner. My husband had a club sandwich and fries and they were all exceedingly happy with their meals. It came to me, and I really want to give this restaurant 5 stars because everything was great and the waitresses were awesome too. But when my meal came, I had the lemon chicken artichoke linguini. I smelled it as I was cutting the chicken and it smelled like an awful lot of pepper. I then decided that it was going to be just fine. I’d had the chicken noodle soup as my side dish and it was good and hot. So I tasted my linuini and OMGosh… I had to send it back and I instead just ordered a baked potato and that was better for me that evening. The Linguini with the lemon chicken and artichokes was just not good, Im sorry to say. It was full of black pepper and much too much for my taste… I’m thinking for many peoples taste. Possibly they put the pepper in and forgot that they did that? Then maybe someone did it again. Im not quite sure what happened? So it was just my meal that was not good, but the other three persons with me were very happy with their meals and the waitstaff and our waitress were all exceptionally wonderful! She stood up on a chair to take a picture of all of us as you can see in one of my photos! The others had dessert and they enjoyed their sundaes and their cake. My husband I did not have dessert. The restaurant was nice and clean, it had a great atmosphere. Though they had TV’s on, it was not loud at all and it was not overly crowded. Again, i cannot say enough about the cleanliness of the restaurant and the bar and the bathrooms were also clean. The waitress was on the ball, very kind and jovial, cheerful and friendly! She was always around when needed. If it weren’t for having to send my meal back I would’ve given this restaurant 5 stars! If I could give them 4.5 stars, I would do that! But this review should speak for itself because everything else was spectacular for a low price! Try it out, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed… it looked like the prime rib was pretty awesome for such a low price. The meatloaf they said was«out of this world» great! The waitress even told us when we were asking“what should we try”? She said that the reason she came to work there was because she loved their meatloaf so much! Well, our friend was«sold on it» after that raving review… and it was all that they said it was, according to him! So Go For it! I say, «YES»!!

My favorite breakfast spot in Ypsi! We’re here almost every weekend. I typically get either steak and eggs, biscuits and gravy, or an omelet. Everything is delicious. They have fantastic soups, too. Only complaint — the tables are a little squashed in to seat as many as possible.

This is my favorite place in the area for breakfast and my go-to Saturday morning restaurant. The food is delicious and fresh. I usually get some type of omelette. I especially like the farmers omelette with the potatoes cooked in it. Good service as well. I definitely recommend for breakfast. I have not yet eaten here for lunch or dinner and cannot recommend yet.

This is on my never again list. Have been there twice and won’t go back. For starters I ordered a diet coke that tastes like mold and was completely flat. I suggested to the waitress to run the line for a minute and try again, she informed me that this is just the way their soda fountain is. Then, they had no peanut butter in house that I could put on my English muffin. Then our eggs were cold and the strawberry compote on top of my pancakes was bad… Not just slightly bad but completely fermented! The bathrooms were filthy! Sorry folks but three strikes and you are out. Never again!

This place used to be SOGOOD five or so years ago, before they added a bar(that I’ve never seen anyone actually sitting at). I don’t know if they are under new ownership or what, but I don’t think I will be going back. The meatloaf I ordered the last time I was in a few weeks back made me sick and was way over priced($ 13). It would be great if they would return to putting the attention into their food that they used to do. This food now is like, a step below Big Boy.

I took my three granddaughters there today(ages 8, 4 and 3). They had a great kids menu and all three girls loved their meals! I had a burger and fries which really hit the spot. The wait staff was very accommodating and efficient. The 8 year old told me she wants to go there again soon! I am sure this will be a regular stop whenever I am in town visiting again!

I was in a rush at lunchtime(Saturday) because I was working. My waitress, Juanita, was very very accommodating, offering several tempting, quick-to-make choices. The service gets a 5 of 5! Opted for the Thanksgiving sandwich, a hot, comforting and generous blast of turkey, potatoes, stuffing and cranberries(on the side). Savory, thick, yellow gravy flowed over the platter like lava from Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano! Food gets 4 out of 5 but only because the cranberries were merely very good– although miles better than crummy canned grocery store cranberry jelly – and the turkey a bit dry.(I prefer dark meat anyhow, because it’s tastier and more moist, but that was not offered here.) Anyway, I sorely needed comfort food, not just because I was working on Saturday, but my less than compassionate supervisor was browbeating me for not working fast enough – by text message.* I’m thankful Harvest Moon delivered the goods! Overall: excellent! *(In case anyone couldn’t figure this out on their own, managing by text is not management, its MISmanagement. If you want to talk to an employee about performance issues, do it in person, for God’s sake. Issues with people skills much?)

I LOVE this place. It’s comfy cozy with adorable décor. It makes you feel welcome and at home. The staff has always been very friendly and professional. My water glass has never been empty. I enjoy their gyro and their omelets. Very delicious! My boyfriend is a fan of their chicken fingers and breakfast burritos. They have a small wine list and a small bar… very cute. They gave two tvs and wifi. :)

Honey I’m Home! Loved the cozy feel and home-cooked food of this little nook. Coffee served hot, fresh and in a full size mug(good for coffee snob like me). I had one of the breakfast skillets and it was perfect balance of hash browns, meat, onions and cheese… Eggs were delightful and fresh and my rye toast was balanced with butter plus the strawberry preserve was a pleasant surprise and great compliment to my meal. The portion size was plenty and not over-sized like many restaurants do today. Our waitress Cindy was nice, friendly, attentive and not overly chatty. We left the Harvest Moon Café satisfied! I really like this place… simple, rustic and tasty! Needless to say… We will be back!
