Very pleasant :) Went for an after dinner walk here recently and enjoyed the scenery. People fishing, kids playing by the water, joggers, soccer players, people walking their dogs, very picturesque.

Located right next to Depot Town, and connected to Riverside Park by a wooden bridge(which also provides direct pedestrian access to Cross St.), Frog Island Park is quintessentially Ypsilanti! With a large open field, a running track, a stage, and plenty of places to sit and rest, there is always something really cool happening here: whether it be a group of kids playing soccer or a group of aspiring musicians performing, this park attracts a lot of really awesome and creative people. It is an amazing, calm and quiet, place to sit back, relax, and take it all in. If you’re in the Depot Town area I recommend a detour for a walk around the park(I mean, it’s called FROGISLAND… isn’t that enough to make you want to check it out); Frog Island Park is another one of those little gems hiding out in Ypsilanti that truly makes this a wonderful community!

I usually come to Frog Island to run, but there are always other people around doing a multitude of other things. The environment is peaceful and well kept. A cute little park.

It’s a park. Frog Island is big. Not bad for frat boys playing soccer, local artists making movies or sleeping. I do all three often!

Frog Island Park is a hidden gem in Ypsilanti. It’s directly adjacent to Ypsilanti’s historic Depot Town and is right next door to the Farmers Market parking lot. It’s also connected via a set of boardwalks that cross the Huron River to Riverside Park. It contains an amphitheater, a running track, and a soccer field. I know this park has been the host site for a local beer festival in past years, and I think it’d be ideal for that because of the abundant shade and the pretty location. On my most recent visit, a jogger and a couple of power walkers were using the track.
