The lack of professionalism that I experienced from Creative Kitchens is extremely disappointing. I needed to replace a Merillat bathroom cabinet due to water damage at the base, back, and side of the cabinet. I went on the Merillat website and found this dealer and went to their showroom… However, the Glendale address listed for them on Unilocal and everywhere else on the Internet, is no longer correct. Their new address is 11122 W ALABAMAAVE C-3, YOUNGTOWN, AZ85363, which unfortunately I didn’t discover until I went to the old location and found a sign on the door. Then I went to their new location in Youngtown to find yet another sign on the door stating that they weren’t open yet… A company should take appropriate measures to inform customers that they are moving! Once the new location was finally open and/or someone was simply at the store, I brought in a cabinet door for a cabinet I needed to replace. I dealt with Wendy who was helpful, but not friendly. The order changed slightly, but was placed the next day and I was informed that we’d have it in about two weeks. Time passed and there was no communication from Creative Kitchens… I called, e-mailed, and even texted to try and reach them. Finally, 7 – 10 days later from the time the order was suppose to arrive, I received an e-mail from Wendy informing me that yes the parts were in, but she had been on vacation… To save money, I decided to order just the shell of the cabinet and reuse the doors/drawers from the old one rather then ordering a new cabinet altogether. This is where a major miscommunication happened on both of our parts because Wendy interpreted this to be the faceframe… She may have said frame which I thought was equivalent to the shell… I am not a cabinet expert and I don’t recall the details, but regardless I do know what a faceframe is and I know I never ordered that part. Regardless, all of this was discovered upon pick up of the items. Wendy was very defensive and did not handle the situation appropriately… She tried to tell me that it was my fault because it says faceframe on the order form — But this order form was never given to me. Mistakes happen, it’s upsetting, but they can be corrected… However, rather then correcting it or trying to help make the situation better, she was rude and said she wanted to refund the money and not deal with it further. There are plenty of Merillat dealers around the valley and so I happily took my order elsewhere. I hope Creative Kitchens improves their customer service and that future customers don’t have the same experience I did.
