I don’t live in Y-​town anymore, but my family does. I needed a fill while I was in town visiting, so I went to Solar – which is conveniently close to my Aunt’s house.
Like another Unilocal review mentioned, make an appointment. I did, but I still had to wait about 15 minutes. No big deal though.
The place is very neat and clean – which is important to me in a nail salon.
I had a great time talking to the manicurist-​she was funny! And she did an awesome job on my nails! I really like the hot towel wrap, too! I will definitely go here next time I’m in town.

Vanessa did a great job on my gel French nails. I was told the price was $ 35.00 and it was bumped up to $ 37.50. You would think you would get your hands moisturized and massaged like a normal manicure, so I would give this 3 stars. I wouldn’t go back just because it was not a full manicure experience.

I came to visit and was in need of a pedi. Solar Nails was super close so thought I’d give it a shot. At first I was a little nervous because even though I had an appt, I had to wait about 10 minutes before I was seated. But that all changed! Vanessa was my nail technician; while she was not at all talkative, she was very meticulous and thorough. At the end of my pedi, I was extremely pleased. She shaped my nails perfectly and was über precise applying my vampy, dark polish. If I am ever in need while in the area, I would not hesitate to return to Solar Nails and seek out Vanessa.
