Cheddar’s

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad meal here. The portions are plentiful and reasonably priced. I haven’t really had a big problem with poor service like others complain about, most of my servers have been very attentive and knowledgeable. There have been a few slip ups like forgetting a specially requested item, but it is always fixed quickly. It’s listed here as comfort food and that’s what it is.

Came here for lunch a few days ago and got the Ribeye with green-​beans and mashed potatoes. The steak was pretty good and the beans, the mash was a bit dry, and warm. But over all its was good. The Ribeye is a must to try.

I have been here twice now and yum-​o it’s delicious! We usually start off with the chips and queso, free seasoned ground beef please, and I have ordered the same burger twice. It’s a jalapeño burger with chipotle mayo and oh my gosh its absolutely freaking delcious. This is one of my Mom and I’s favorite spots. It’s a very comfortable atmosphere and service is generally pretty good and quick. Highly recommended!

Been here several times at this location and have never had a bad experience. Highly recommend the pain killer cocktail, they limit you to two per guest, but one will have you feeling good. Very friendly staff!

Good food for reasonable price. Now that they been open for a while now the service is way better than when they first opened.

The service was very bad the waiter advised he was only able to accept exact change on a $ 8 bill and was not able to get refills on drinks

Food is decent, prices are decebut some of the most horrible service. They’re slow, we had to ask our server for some things 4 – 5 times and still never received parts of our meals;

returned to Cheddar’s on my visit home… that Strawberry Swirl Margarita is seriously sooo amazing.
I ordered a burger with bacon and swiss cheese and fries. Super yum.
E ordered the Cajun Pasta which he said was really good.
And the croissants. What can I say… delish.
This has become a staple to visit when I come to Youngstown to visit!

We were seated immediately, then left to sit for at least twenty minutes while no one waited on us. Tried to make eye contact while all wait staff walked by ignoring us. We finally had to get up and leave. What a waste of time and a big disappointment. It was around 1:30 in the afternoon, and the place didn’t seem that busy. Most people seated already had their drinks and food while we had nothing but the menu.
Update; I was not surprised when this restaurant closed suddenly, giving the employees little or no notice. I hope someone else will open a place with great food and service

Reasonably priced food and drinks, hit or miss service. Last time I was there we had to ask our waiter four times for water which is unacceptable.

The live vaudeville performances occuring in twenty minute intervals was such an amazing addition to our dinner! ! They also had underground riverboat gambling and free moonshine after 11am. What a way to spend the day. Look for then giant spinning paddleboat.

About 6 months ago I started going there after work 10:00 pm because they served until at least 11:00. The food used to be great. I would order their rib eye steak and salad with bleu cheese and sit at the bar for faster service. The steaks were almost 1 inch thick and the salad dressing was homemade in-​house, according to them.
Last week I sat at the bar and ordered. The salads were smaller, the dressing tasted bottled, and I did not see the bartender again until dinner was over. The kitchen staff brought the steak which was less than a half inch thick and way overcooked.
When I discussed this with the manager, he indicated that corporate makes the managers cook late evening along with their other duties and they run short staffed by design at that time.
Really? And I should come back here again? I manage to spend $ 45 plus tip for two people at that place and no thank you anymore.

I have been here three times in the past year and a half. The salmon is always great. Went with another couple on Sunday October 5^th, and everyone really enjoyed their food. And they finally nailed the country fried steak. It was great. The place is worth a trip for dinner or especially lunch.

What a wait it was 30 mins for appitizer now at 45 mins and still waiting on food after waiting for our food the manager offered a coupon for our next visit but we declinded the gift certificate. Thefood was good ordered a chicken tender and steak with side of corn. The chicken was moist and the corn was good as well

We had lunch. Great service and quick too. We all enjoyed our meals and mango ice tea. We will be back!

This was our first time at this location, and we are not chain restaurant people, but we really do like this chain restaurant. We came for lunch and had Anna as our server and she was excellent. I had the baked potato soup and the buffalo chicken wrap, which comes grilled or fried and Anna said fried is really good. She was right! The buffalo chicken had a fabulous flavor and came out hot and fresh. The soup is tasty, but you must like really thick soup to like this one. My husband had the same soup and the monte cristo. He liked his equally as much. We both had raspberry iced tea which is great. Overall great experience, with great service and good prices.

Cheddars is just another chain to be added to the area. I’d consider it one step up compared to Applebee’s. But the prices are a amazing, 2 people can easily eat under $ 20 – 25 for no problem.
The service can go either way. I’ve had great service and horrible service. I only had one incident, where my BF had ordered a side salad and it was never brought to the table. He asked our server and she brought it during the end of our meal. So he ended up bringing it home. However they did not remove this from our bill, and it was an up charge. That was slightly disappointing. But not enough to make me not wanna go back.
Their broccoli and cheese casserole is the best I’ve ever had. And I’m not a huge fan of cooked broccoli. Their chicken fingers dinner is my favorite as it comes with quite a few chicken tenders and 2 sides. I can’t remember the price but I wanna say around $ 7 which is very good! I’ve heard they had good drinks but I’ve never tried any.

Came here with the family and it was just ok. Super friendly server but the food was slow slow slow. WE waited over an hour for our meal and it just was not that busy. Then after all that, the food was just ok. Their honey croissants aredelish though!

My boyfriend and I debated on whether to eat here or not due to the reviews and especially since I am very particular about service and quality of food. Despite the so so and bad reviews we decided to try this place out and are very happy that we stopped in.
Our waitress was extremely polite and checked on us often. I started w/​a specialty drink called a Painkiller. It was a extremely tasty drink and priced on the cheaper end which was a pleasant surprise.
I started my meal w/​the house salad which was a mix of fresh romaine and iceberg lettuce w/​tomatoes, carrots and croutons on it. I opted for the 1000 island dressing which is homemade and very good. They also gave a warm, fresh croissant w/​my salad. For main course I had the half rack of ribs w/​grilled shrimp as my entrée and a loaded baked potato. I havent had ribs this good in a long time. The grilled shrimp had a little spice to it but still very yummy.
My boyfriend had the tilapia with mango salsa and shrimp on it with coleslaw and the broccoli casserole as his sides. He also enjoyed his meal as much as I did.
We had the freshly made chocolate chip cookie dessert which we both loved.
Overall I found this to be a very good restaurant with good portions and all of the above food only costing us $ 38. You cant beat it for the quality and amount of food they give you. We are from Pittsburgh but if we are ever up in this area again, we will definitely return to Cheddars to have another great meal.

There are a lot of mixed reviews here… Hopefully they are working through this at the restaurant because I had a very good experience here. I mean, it’s not the best place to eat, but it’s very good… and inexpensive.
We stopped here for a late night dinner… 10:00 PM. The place was not busy and we were seated right away. Our server was very good and was always asking us if things were OK. She did a very nice job.
Looking at the menu, I was shocked at their low prices. I ordered the fish tacos (which was only $ 6.99). They were really good and the portion size was awesome compared to the price. My wife ordered the chicken fried chicken for $ 9.99. Her order was HUGE. I had to help :)
We ordered a nacho appetizer that was only $ 3.99 and then finished off our dinner with desert minis that were only 99 cents.
Again… Compared with the experience and food vs. price… it’s hard to go wrong here. I’m sure we’ll eat here again. Hopefully I don’t get one of the 1 or 2 star experiences I saw below…
