I have to say every time I eat here I wonder why I do not eat here more! Absolute BEST Mexican food in Youngstown. Chile Colorado tacos are to die for!

Amazing food, fast and super friendly service. The Chile Colorado soft tacos are absolutely amazing. I tried the cucumber hot sauce today and it was fantastic, the best combination of flavors. Can’t say enough good things about this place and the staff.

Great food and friendly staff. I had the 2 taco platter, pork, comes with rice and refried beans. They were amazing. Got the chicken tortilla soup, fresh and not spicy!!! Will defiantly come here again. If you are in the neighborhood a place not to miss.

Sooooo legit! Trust that this is the kind of place that would have lines out the door if everyone knew about it AND show genuinely authentic the favors are. My new favorite spot.

Love this little gem. Food is always great. People are always nice. The only downfall is their hours don’t really allow for this being a dinner option.

Another place I kick myself for missing. Me and the wife got the three taco platters. BESTTACOSINYOUNGSTOWNAREA!!! They use a white corn soft tortilla for the tacos, three for $ 7.95. Well worth it. Chicken, pork, steak, all great. Nothing fried, no chimichanga or whatever. But the tacos kill. And menu has burritos and rice and beans. Place was busy. In the Eat’N’Park plaza on market street. I have had better, but never in youngstown, and not in Pittsburgh or Cleveland either. Get your butt in here NOW!!! I have to add. I love street tacos. Drop me in the finest dining Mexican restaurant anywhere, and I am looking for the street tacos. Two soft corn tortillas, warmed, and stuffed with meat, onion, cilantro, and so on. This place was just busy enough. I don’t have to worry about it going away. Constant steady stream of customers, who obviously from the conversation they would have with counter dude, were regulars. THAT is the sign of a place that is better than just good. This is right next to a Subway, which was dead, and Eat’N’Park, with their smiley cookies and salad bar, and here is this little place, steady stream of regular customers, mostly getting tacos. NEXTTIME I will be getting the carne Asada burrito. From reviews, it is supposed to be big and great. We shall see. And I cannot wait. I got that carne Asada burrito. Every bit as good as I had hoped. Let me tell you, Los Gallos is good. Nice chips, cheesy gringo sauce on seafood enchiladas. But I love street tacos and burritos. And this is the place. Right here next to Eat’N’Park on market street. I love the food here. If you don’t, just try it a few times. I love steak tacos on two corn tortillas with diced up onion and chopped cilantro. This place pretty much nails it. Another place where I have yet to have anything less than a great meal. Three carne Asada tacos for $ 8.00 that just makes me feel good is pretty epic in my book. It’s like finding a pierogie joint that sells perfect pierogies. Or getting that perfectly roasted ear of corn that is dipped in butter and is perfectly seasoned. They do just a few things, but they do them well. Better than anyone else around here that is for sure. Better than the taco stand at Pitt Umiversity or the taco stand on the Strip(PENN Ave) except they don’t have lamb. Why do I have to wait until Satirday to get good lamb in youngstown? We will never know…

After living in Southern CA for over a decade its been easy to get spoiled by all the great foods that LA has to offer, especially Mexican food. So when I moved back to NE Ohio, I knew I would have to search to find some good authentic Mexican food. After reading a few comments from others I decided to try Casa De Tacos. My first visit I tried the carne asada burrito covered in their red enchilada sauce. The sauce was SO good… I literally wanted to take a tortilla and clean my plate. My second visit I decided to try their 3 street taco special… and tried the machaca chicken, slow roasted pork and chili colorado. All were really good… but I REALLY liked the slow roasted pork and chili colorado. Come to find out that they used to live in CA(bonus)…and after chatting with the wife today, she is actually from Mexico and does all the cooking(double bonus). Will definitely visit again!

Definitely some solid Mexican food and fast. Would like to not have to pay extra for sour cream and whatnot but it was delicious. And they have Mexican Cokes. Bonus.

The soft tacos that I have tried(grilled chicken and beef) were just okay in my opinion. However, the chips and salsa are top notch. Guacamole was pretty excellent, too. This is the closest thing that you are going to find to authentic Mexican food in the area.

Just finished my lunch of a slow cooked pork burrito and an order of taquitos. Everything was over the top great. the pork tender and flavorful, the beans and rice were superb. The best part for me was the taquitos. Home made tortillas with chicken served with fresh sour cream and fantastic guac. So if you are reading this and want excellent authentic mexican, forget the chains and hit the real deal. My only complaint was that their mild sauce was still about 10000000000000000000 scoville units and nearly melted my face off. … Lesson learned

After reading all the great Unilocal reviews I had to try Casa de Tacos! Coming here from Central NY, I can’t claim to be an expert on tacos but having spent some time in CA, TX and AZ, I would say these were pretty darn good! I had the soft taco plate with a Colorado Pork and a Chicken mahaca(sp?) taco with refried beans and Mexican rice. I loved all of it except for the rice that was kinda«meh». Of the two, the pork taco was my favorite but I’m anxious to try some of their other choices. The tacos weren’t huge but neither were the prices so I can’t complain and I had plenty to eat for lunch. No need to go to Chipotle when Casa de Tacos is so close by!

Good Mexican food is sparse at best in NE Ohio. Fortunately, Casa De Taco seems to capture the authentic flare of Mexican food and delivers it in Boardman Ohio. Although the ambiance may be slightly shabby, the actual food is cheap, wholesome and very tantalizing to the taste buds. Unlike other chain burrito joints, Casa De Taco leaves one full and pleased with their appetizing experience. Service is quick and friendly, and have I mentioned how affordable it is? Overall, this is as good as it gets as far Mexican food in Ohio.

I was born and raised in southern california, spent a healthy amount of time in baja mexican food is always my top choice so when my husband was relocated here for work I worried we wouldn’t find anything up to par with what I was accustom to. It took over a year but through the power of social media I heard about this place, tried it, and its as good if not better than any of the taco stands I used to regular back home. If you are looking for authentic flavor this is the place to go. We have tried a few other places and were sorely disappointed. The only draw back are the limited hours but then it makes me appreciate it that much more.

Been going there since day 1. Best place in town to get taco’s and burritos. I recommend the Fish Taco’s and also the Chorizo taco or burrito. Everything is great there. Great service too.

Was craving some tacos after a few weeks of being away from California. Saw a couple of reviews that said these were comparable to the ones back west. Ordered the fish taco and the Chile Colorado pork tacos. Both of them were good and satisfied my taco craving. Liked the chile colorado one a bit more. Had all the essential elements in a taco at home. Great place to go for tacos. Friendly staff.

I’m a transplant from SoCal and this is by far the best authentic Mexican food in Youngstown! Nothing fancy just great fresh ingredients… The fish tacos are always a favorite, but never had a bad meal. If you’re looking for real Mexican food this is the place to go!

Casa de Tacos is a hidden gem that you should definitely check out. It is a tiny place in a small plaza just past all the car dealerships on Market St. in Boardman. Casa de Tacos isn’t strong on atmosphere or looks, but they haven’t skimped on taste! The food is excellent and authentic. I absolutely love their burritos. They’re big — a bit bigger than Chipolte — and you can get them dry(pick it up and eat it with your hands) or wet(covered in sauce and needs knife and fork). They make everything right there behind the counter, including their own hot sauces. Warning: their«medium» sauce is about the spice equivalent of Taco Bell hot sauce. Their«hot» is pretty darn spicy — too much for me. There is no «mild» — I guess that’s already on the food! They have a variety of Mexican sodapop, including Coke made with sugar(rather than corn starch like here in the US) as well as fountain drinks. Seating is limited to about 14. So get there early. You can always take out too. The owners are very friendly and do a great job. You might have trouble finding it. It is in the same small plaza as Eat n Park on the east side of the street.

This place scared me at first… It’s in a strip mall, only has a few tables, and very bare décor. Looked pretty sketchy overall. But, going off the reviews, we decided to give it a try. Everything is made local and in small batches. Great flavors and seasonings. Burritos, tacos, and quesadillas mostly. Rice and beans are different, but still good. The hot salsa for the chips is great. Definitely worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back. They also do take out. Don’t the appearances scare you off!

This is not what many people in this region expect: it is like visiting an L.A. «taco truck» with a simple, spicy, menu. The homemade habanero is stunning — and hot. I actually went back to the counter and ordered more food simply to use more of that amazing sauce. Some warnings: 1) The interior is plain, at best, and might cause some to turn away. Again, thing«Taco Truck» and forget the simple surroundings. This isn’t a place with any décor. 2) The hours are limited, so aim for lunch or a very early dinner. 3) Don’t expect Taco Bell or Mad Mex — this is authentic, not chain food. But, that also means it isn’t as consistent from batch to batch. It is homemade. I love this place, but it is hard for us to get to it during the week. Worth the effort.
