Went to the Lakeview Grill to have their Prime Rib special on Sunday night. We have been to the restaurant before but did not have the prime rib. Now I know why I did not have the prime rib the first time. The prime rib was horrible. Lots of grissle in the meat which made it difficult to cut. I took over half of if home to feed the dog. Never going back.

Just got back from Mother’s Day dinner, and I have to say I was pretty disappointed. I have been to Lakeview Grille quite a few times (even had my baby shower there in the private room), and I suggested this as a place for Mother’s Day Dinner as they normally have a huge menu with meals and price ranges that work for everyone.
Well, today was an exception as they only had a VERY limited and pricey Mother’s Day Menu. I know a limited menu helps on such busy days, however, when I made reservations, I feel as if I should have been notified of this because I would not have come if I had known. I was tempted to leave when I asked if they had any other menu options. My family members who had not been here before looked online beforehand to see their menu and prices and it was embarrassing to show up and have this pricey menu handed to us.

Another awful meal last night, that makes about four mixed in with e/​o being ok. Had to stop on the way home to get the hubby something to eat as his meal was not edible after waiting an hour. Our waitress was awesome; tipped her accordingly. We’re done with this place.

This restaurant is a little hidden treasure. Every time I come here it is delicious! The mangers are always there and they make sure your experience is excellent. I have had filet, fish fry, and tonight I had bruschetta chicken pasta. Everything is always wonderful. Love it!!!

We were in luck, new to the area we were going to try mike and Denise’s but they were closed for a holiday party so we ended up here, I LOVED my steak. Oh the flavor and texture, yum! I’m not a steak snob though so maybe others will disagree, but my fiancé loved their burgers (he ordered two!) And they were gigantic, needless to say he didn’t finish. Will be back soon!

Lakeview Grille is our go to restaurant in Yorkville. We have never had a bad dish here and we have tried almost everything on the menu. They are willing to make small changes to dishes to satisfy picky eaters. The desserts are seasonal, varied and delicious. Do yourself a favor and try the pumpkin cheesecake at the holidays.
The bar staff is friendly and attentive and Michelle knows how to make killer dirty martini (hello, blue cheese olives). Management frequently checks in with diners to ensure a good experience.

One of out favorite places. Been going there for years and always fantastic. In nice weather we enjoy dining on the deck overlooking the lake. They have a broad menu and I think we’ve had almost everything at least once. Also have great specials.

Took the in laws here for a Friday night dinner. We were seated right next to the event room, which had a wedding party. This wouldn’t have been such a big deal if they had closed the doors or my in laws weren’t so picky.
The most annoying part of the night was the 20+ minutes we went without a server until an ambitious waitress asked if anyone had helped us yet.
Food is solid. French onion soup is fabulous. I enjoyed my salmon. My husband and father in law liked their steaks. My MIL also liked her Mediterranean pasta, but no one raved about their food.
Good selection of scotch!

Best place ever. Our server Jamie was fantastic. I had the grilled porkchop and sirloin combo. She has the lake view twin filet with asparagus. The diner salads and table bread were super yummy the bread was nice and soft and hot. The filet and reduction sauce were amazing. Super soft and nicely cooked and well flavored. My sirloin was very nice with some good sear on the edges but still Med-​rare in the middle. Not as soft as the filet but more ‘meaty’ and much more how I prefer. The pork chop could have used a little more seasoning before being grilled. The veggies with both plates were awesome and well seasoned. The baked sweet potato was awesome. Love this place. And Jamie is super friendly every time we’re in!

It was my first time here and I have herd mix reviews from other people. I must say EVERYTHING was AMAZING from the atmosphere, food, and especially the service from the Servers. Jamie and Rene were our servers and I asked a few questions/​recommendations. Since I’m kinda picky when I try a new place/​dish. Jamie talked up there Grilled Calmari. I admit it definitely exceeded its expectations. They didn’t rush the food which was nice. My 5 month daughter had to be fed during our dine. They went the Extra step and said you (let us know when you would like us to put your order in) I was impressed and felt the care of a HOT Dinner Plate is always the best. Thank you again Jamie & Rene

Had a pleasant dinner one Sunday afternoon. Prime rib is available on Thursday and Sunday and my wife enjoyed hers; the portion was generous and the sides complemented the dinner well (loaded baked potato and steamed broccoli). I had the top sirloin and it was cooked just as I ordered. The wait staff was attentive. As the name implies, the main dining room has a nice view of a small lake. Outdoor seating is available weather permitting.

Just came back from dinner with my wife and we both agreed one of the worst meals we have ever eaten. Service was slow and food was just horrible. I would not recommend this to my worst enemy. Not sure where all the good reviews come from.

Have been here a few times and haven’t found anything we haven’t liked as of yet. Have always dined in and never taken anything to go. This is a place we take out of town guests. Casual yet still nice casual if you want. Would recommend to friends.

Went there last night, got right in and had amazing service. Good was awesome like always. My husband had the strip which was tender and succulent. I had the strip with grilled shrimp. The shrimp was so amazing and they were huge! My son loves the ribs here. Everyone is so polite!

I’ve been here twice, my first experience was just ok and the second was pretty bad. The first time I ordered a burger and it was just alright… nothing special or unique. I did like their outdoor patio which is why I decided to go back a second time. That time I ordered the prime rib and was seriously disappointed. I realize that type of cut of meat can be quite fatty, but my piece was over 50% fat, leaving me with barely any food. My boyfriend ordered catfish that was very bland:(I’m not opposed to giving it another chance but it will definitely be the last if the experience isn’t any better.

Got together for dinner with another couple tonight at Lakeview. The place was packed (as I would except at the good place) and was extremely happy the service and food were both excellent. Pork Chops and Steaks and seafood dishes we all great.

HOWEVER! The owner was already hosting a bridal shower party inside and said we could come in early and eat anyway: D
We had a private table on the porch and were served right away!
