Went today and took advantage of the sunset sailing on the Alliance. It’s a 105′ foot schooner. The crew allowed anyone to pull up the sails and help out. The crew that consisted of 2 young ladies were very skilled and have been sailing for quite a few years. The boat also had a galley. They took cash and card with a $ 10 minimum. You could get beer, soda, water, or chips. The sunset was awesome! Definitely go with ur honey, bring a blankie and get a seat on top of the flat rectangular boxes next to the entrance. You’ll love it!

I loved the sunset cruise! The Captain told us about the history of Yorktown and was able to answer any questions we had. The sunset was so pretty and the ride was so relaxing.

The 2hour sunset cruise was nice. Took us along the water, allowed us to help lift the sails and gave a history of the area. Unfortunately, we only were in one isolated area and could not see the landmarks they were talking about. Not very comfortable as far as seating arrangements but definitely the sailboat experience. Do not bring on anything you do not want to hold or loose! Easy to find. Great location. Bring a blanket! Can’t go wrong with this extra baggage. Got a glimpse of some dolphins, but they passed us by as they were not so interested in us as we were with them. The water is very deep out there so you get ocean perspectives.
