AMF York Lanes

The service is absolutely terrible! We haven’t been bowling in years and came here to enjoy a beer while we did it. We waited half way through the first game for a «server» to come to us, which didn’t happen. Went to the bar and no one was there. Finally saw a person and ordered a pitcher only to be told 20 minutes later that she wasn’t our server and that the new server would come to us. Half way through our second game we were finally greeted. It put a damper on our visit and we will not be back!

The facility was clean and seemed to be well-​maintained.
The visit started off strong with the super friendly employee who prepared our lanes for us. He was extremely knowledgeable and was happy to help us.
As we were into our second game we ordered food. The lady who took our orders was very nice at first. She informed me that my drink was refillable and that she would bring my hotdog meal to my lane when it was ready. After 15 minutes of waiting for the food, the other part of our party decided to order food as well.
Around half an hour to 45 minutes later I go up to the food area to check on the food (by this time I had gone up 5 times already). My entire party’s order was sitting on the counter. She specifically informed me that «ALL» of the food on the counter was for my party’s two lanes and pointed at the trays I could use to take multiple items back with me. I made one trip and came back and got the rest. She then later came to my table and informed us that we had taken an additional chicken tenders. I reminded her that she told me that the entire order on the counter was my party’s (especially since I had no idea what our second lane ordered/​we had ordered many items) and then continued to repeat that we took an additional chicken tenders. I don’t know what she was trying to accomplish by telling us this, it wasn’t like we could give it back to her because of health safety reasons, and she never asked us to pay for it (which we would have gladly done). She should’ve realized she made a mistake and fixed it without instigating a problem and involving customers.
We looked at her name tag and it said «Assistant Manager in Training», which is unfortunate because from our experience she does not have the right attitude for providing service. They would be wiser to promote the employee at the register who was friendly, welcoming, and ready to provide excellent service.

The facility was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and all the equipment looked good. Games were expensive for a Saturday afternoon. I was hoping to «rent» a lane for a few hours but ended up paying for each game for each person. The food was pretty expensive so we opted to eat somewhere else after we finished bowling. Overall it was a nice experience. Just wish the food was priced better. Who knows we might have stayed longer and played another game or two…

When I was a kid, it seemed there were bowling alleys everywhere, and now they are harder to find. Even rarer are the ones which fall in the intersection of clean, remodeled, and affordable. This one falls right in the middle of the Venn diagram.
This afternoon my coworkers and I came here for a small fiscal year end celebration (we were a medium-​sized party of 15), and we partook of drinks and snacks while bowled. We had a great time, and the staff was super friendly.
I’ve heard that there is karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights and that there are plans for a full sports bar. The future looks good for this Yorktown business. I’m glad we were able to stop by, and I’ll definitely be coming back.

This is a nice environment buy the staff is WAY undermanned and overwhelmed. Lines are 20 min long wait and only one cashier. The cooks is also the server and can not keep up with the flow of a Saturday afternoon crowd. called about military discount and the representative told me the rate was one price for everyone however that was not the case. Military discount was available. They did not offer it and when questioned about the price they would not refund the difference. Inclosing Management need to rethink how to please the customer not just how to make money.

Me and My Family went for my Birthday and I need a lighter Ball and they didn’t have any available and pretty much said Oh well now with the lightest available. They did say they would refund my part but then I want able to bowl with my family on my Birthday. That and my Dad had an issue with the pins and I pretty much had to drag a lane attendant down to fix the issue after waiting more than 5 mins after we called. Worst service I’ve ever had at a Bowling alley!

Came here for midnight bowling and it was not the best experience I’ve ever had. This location is close to my parents’ house though, so due to the convenient location it is the alley of choice.
With that, I have to say the service was not great. The associates helping my group were short with us and did not give us the most welcoming experience. It’s a bowling alley, but it shouldn’t be irrational to ask for a smile from the person taking your money.
The lanes and bowling experience are great. The screens are nice. It looked like the place was being renovated, because the ground was a slab of concrete and the walls weren’t fully painted; I would be excited to see the finished product! (At least I hope it’s being renovated. Haha). Cut my thumb at one point and went to ask for a bandaid, and without taking effort to check, the associate said they didn’t have any. No first aid kit with band aids? Seems unsafe, especially being that there are illnesses out there that spread through blood and everyone puts their fingers in the same bowling balls.
I didn’t get to try the food, but it looked pretty good. They had a fun selection of music playing with music videos on screens down the alleys, lights in between the lanes, and blacklights all for the midnight bowling. It was fun!
All in all, I’d go back for the location, but like I said: it’s not the best bowling experience I’ve had.

Plenty to choose from on the menu but the food is way overpriced and poor quality. It’s pretty hard to make sucky pizza but they found a way. I ordered the grande nachos with no chili and got a big platter of chips covered in the most disgusting «nacho cheese» I’ve ever had, and for some stupid reason they put all the toppings in individual little cups on the side. The $ 9 chicken sandwich was undercooked and the bun was stale. Cheese burger also had a stale bun but we were told the buns were supposed to be that way… (O.o) Uh no. I also order my drink «up sized» and when it came out in a regular sized cup the waitress tried to lie and tell me it was the upsize. I pointed out that it was the same size cup everyone else had and she told me, «Well it’s free re-​fills anyway.» I ordered the bigger size because I was sharing my drink and didn’t want to have to get it refilled 800 times. She never once offered any of us a re-​fill, I had to continuously go ask for one myself at the counter. It’s an okay place to bowl but eat somewhere else.

Big bowling alley with lots of lanes and parking. I also appreciate their gutter bumpers for horrible bowlers like myself. There is a grill here where you can order beer and some bar foods which are delivered to you. The pictchers we ordered were pretty cheap and I had a fabuloud time. We ordered the pizza which was okay and definitely absorbed all the beer I had that night.
Pricewise, yea, it’s a bit more expensive but I think it was worth it considering the cleanliness and great service we encountered. There is also a good mix of people which I thought was cool since its located in cookie-​cutter Yorktown. There were families, groups of friends and couples to name a few. There were ample balls in different varieties so I never had to wait for one. The shoes seemed cleaned and the guys at the counter were friendly. I like how they change up the music and it’s just not awful 80’s music but a good mix of current and classic songs.
Honestly, as nice and spacious as this place is I think the set up can be a little confusing. I had no idea there was a game room nor did I know that there was a full service bar and found that out as I was leaving. Overall, I would come back again because it’s size to accomadate large groups and because of the good serivce I was presented with. I hope they fix some maintenance issues as we moved once because of one of the lanes not functioning properly and the new lane we moved to also had some technical issues. Also, many of the lane kiosks look worn. In conclusion this place is a little dated but still good overall.

A bit pricey if you don’t happen to get a deal with GroupOn, but has decent food and bar. –1 star for giving me grief over wanting to use the gutter-​bumpers.

We had a great time with some friends here on a Saturday night. Beer & bowling is a fun combo. At 10pm they have the «cosmic» style bowling, but that was when we left. The automatic scoring system is nice too, more hang out time, less math stress, LOL!
4 stars because it was sort of pricey. Two games for hubby and me each, shoes for both was just over $ 30. Not something I’d do as regularly because of how expensive it was. Each pitcher of beer was about $ 9.

A nice clean ally. Fairly good food is served here. There are plenty of other video games, pool and a basketball shootout type game have been added. Shoe pricing is decent and there are always plenty of AMF passes and free games if you know where to look on the web.
