The pizza here is OK. The slice is quite large but so is the price.

I have various opinions about this place. For starters, I would safety say that the pizza there is the best in Yorktown — it is done right and always done right(consistency is key). The wedges/heroes are also very good, as well as the garlic knots, the pasta, and all that stuff. Pizza is always ready quickly, and the price is reasonable. The reason why this review isn’t a 5-star review is because of the one of the owners — Sam. Sam usually is a nice guy, but sometimes he can be extremely rude. In fact, I came in later at night to get pizza and Italian ices, and regardless of the fact that we know each other, I was rudely spoke to and insulted to the point where I stopped going here for months and months(I went to Yorktown Pizza and Pasta instead for months, but it isn’t as good as Maria’s). I hate to admit it though, the pizza was the best here so I started going back, but I can safely say that the owners is rude, and I’ve completely changed my opinion on him and this restaurant — as soon as I find a better pizza place, it will be good-bye to Maria’s.

Really good LARGE slices Their large pies are 3 feet in diameter Flavorful and fresh Good spot to visit Small lot but park at cvs and walk there if it’s crowded because it’s worth it Will be returning for a specialty slice Service was also good!

Big slices yes, but the regular pizza is kind of tasteless. Very thin and little sauce taste and low quality cheese. Regular slice is about $ 4.00, so you’re paying for its size anyway. It is Not a «bad» slice, but I have had better pizza elsewhere in New York, especially in Brooklyn. Big slices like these can be found in some pizza joints in The Bronx, and are much tastier and at a cheaper price.

Best chicken Parm hero is right here. Great size of your arm slices. The only pizza joint I ever see hockey games playing on the tube, that itself is worth 4 stars. Pizza has been consistent for so many years. That’s a rare feat in Westchester.

Haven’t had a slice from Maria’s in years. Moved up to Mahopac a few years back but always remember we had done a construction job up in Yorktown where we sent our helper to get us lunch. We agreed on pizza gave him our order and money. About 30 minutes later he shows up with 6 to 8 pizza boxes and we were wondering what the heck. 2 slices each should have been 3 pizza boxes tops! We opened the pizza boxes and there was two ginormous slices in each box for cripes sake and they were super delicious! Fast forward to the present had to go to Yorktown to shop so figured I would go on the search for the holy grail of pizza that I remembered from years gone by and low and behold I found it!!! Place is my kind of hole in the wall place from living in Yonkers and eating pizza from Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx, Yonkers etc… Pizza delicious as ever with a nice thin crust, slightly sweet sauce and perfectly topped with cheese-a-rella goodness! Slices are still huge and the best was watching a kid walk out with a 3 foot pizza box and barely able to fit through the door. Started talking to Sammy who was at the counter serving and explained to him what I just wrote and truly a nice guy and all the guys who work there are pleasant and love Talking and make sure you leave happy! Ever in Yorktown give it a try and trust me you will not leave hungry and that’s with only one slice!

I grew up in Yorktown and have patronized Maria’s since the 80s. It has always been the best around. As a NYC resident for over a decade now, and one who has eaten his fair share of great pizza, I can comfortably say that theirs still holds up and could go toe to toe with a vast number of NY’s finest. It is NY style, thin-crust pizza done really well. It’s not fancy with obscure ingredients, and the shop certainly has not changed since the 80s, but that’s what I love about this place. It’s consistent. I had the pleasure of passing through town this weekend, so I stopped in with my family. It’s such a great homecoming to look forward to. The town has changed so much and in so many ways since my childhood, but it’s comforting to know that Maria’s is still there, the same as it’s always been, churning out reliably delicious pizza. The enormous slices, and the party pies, are just gravy on top of this already excellent pizza shop. If you’re in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in. Great stuff!

Home of the mega-slice. And it’s more than just quantity, the pizza is excellent. I really like the flavor of the sauce and crust in thinner than you would expect for a slice this large. While on close inspection the restaurant is clean, the odd placement of the door and the tables gives it a cramped feeling. And the old-world collection of pictures and posters just makes it feel divey. But, I come for the pizza!

I travel to Yorktown Heights for work about once a month. Maria’s big cheese slice is one of the things I look forward to. Not a place to linger, unless there is a Yankee game on that you want to watch.

Best pizza in northern Westchester! The 3 foot pizza is just ridiculous! Crust is thin and not too chewy, the sauce is sweet and the cheese is all freshly sliced. A note on décor: I’m the type of person who appreciates old, hole in the wall places. If a restaurant manages to survive a long time, and doesn’t give a damn about the décor, then it must mean the food has been good enough to carry the place on its own. I’m other words, old hole-in-the-wall = great food. This is one of those places! Go there.

Great pizza shop with a friendly crew. We order pizza from here about 4x a month… never a let down. Parking can be a bit tight. Chicken Parm is one of the best locally. Enjoy. They deliver in the snow.

Great pizza. Take it out. The place is a dump. They really need to invest in the décor.

So Yeah, I love pizza. I think half my reviews are of pizza joints and that’s okay. Interestingly enough I had never gone to Maria’s Pizza before last Sunday. I must say I was glad I did. Now, I won’t say that it is my new favorite pizza place. There is one shop that hold that title in my opinion. But, I will say that this place is right up there. The pizza was absolutely delicious. I ordered my typical bacon pie and it arrived covered in huge chunks of bacon. Let me say this though, the pizza came out FAST! when I say fast, I mean really really fast. I have no idea how he did it, but I couldn’t have been there for more than 10 minutes tops. Good food, really fast, that’s all I have to say I think. The décor was fun too. Old timey pictures of NY icons and plenty of pics of Yankees old and new, and of course the game was on :) That’s always nice. So, go there, you’ll be glad you did.

nothing has changed at marias, sammy still makes the pizza, same as it ever was, so everyone ignore the bottom review. marias is WAYYBETTERNOW. its no longer a hole first of all. mr picone put tvs in the place and remodeled so you dont have to sit in those god awful 60s booths that are bolted to the wall so you cant just pull up a chair if you have 5. not only is the pizza still awesome cuz sammy makes it. they have awesome new rolls now. the buffalo chicken rolls and hippie rolls are out of control. chicken rolls and all the other classics are the same and great as they have always been and the fact you will never miss a yankee game if you want to go have pizza there is a door shutting 5 star factor. so ignore that clown on the bottom, portofinos is good but marias, way better and ive been to both plenty bc i lived in yorktown and played baseball as a kid in pound ridge for about 6 years, so ive had my fair share.
