Dr. Ginsberg is absolutely amazing! And his staff are all very sweet, understanding, empathetic, and really do listen to you. I highly, highly recommend this practice to anyone with a child who needs dental work!!! THANKMYLUCKYSTARS that I called Dr. Jeffrey Ginsberg in Yorktown. A previous dentist had told me that the only way to get my son’s teeth fixed was through a hospital visit with general anesthesia, which would have been a traumatic and potentially dangerous procedure AND would have cost over $ 10,000. I am absolutely THRILLED that I got a second opinion, and even more thrilled that I was lucky enough to find Dr. Ginsberg. Dr. Ginsberg doesn’t believe in anesthesia for dental work for children. In the 1980s, he witnessed a child going in to cardiac arrest because of the same procedure that my son was going to have done under the other dentist. So Dr. Ginsberg DOESN’T use general anesthesia. That was the first thing that made me VERY happy. He looked over my son’s x-rays and said that he needed a few small fillings. My jaw dropped. «The other dentist said he needed caps on almost all of his teeth!» It was Dr. Ginsberg’s turn to be shocked: «What? No, he just needs a few fillings! Caps are for root canals! He doesn’t need any root canals — his roots are fine!» What a different story! It seems Dr. Ginsberg not only cares about the health and well being of my child, but also isn’t out to just«make a buck.» He really does seem to care about doing what is BEST and what is RIGHT for a child. At this point, my son has had three different trips to get all of the cavities filled. Dr. Ginsberg wanted to make sure my son had a positive experience, so the first visit was VERY quick(and he fixed the top of one side completely). The next visit, he fixed the rest of that side of my son’s mouth — another quick and incredibly painless procedure. Finally, my son got the entire other side of his mouth fixed in one last visit. In between visits, my son actually asked«Can we go to the dentist?» That’s ONESATISFIEDCUSTOMER — and he’s only 3! He loves the office, which is extremely kid-friendly with video games, toys, and fun and bright décor, and he thinks Dr. Ginsberg and his assistant are«so so nice!» Plus, during each visit Dr. Ginsberg emphasized again that my son DIDNOT need caps. Can you believe it? I would have put my poor son through all of that for nothing! When he got all of his teeth fixed over the combined time(split over three visits) of about one hour at most. Go with Dr. Ginsberg. You WILLNOT be sorry. This man knows his stuff, is super speedy, does quality work, and is GREAT with kids. My son even giggled during his last appointment, as Dr. Ginsberg was putting in some of his«silver stars»(how cute is that?)! Also, the office staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone at Dr. Ginsberg’s office is compassionate and caring. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED!!!
